Michelle Freck Memorial - Preview

The charity 2 seater experiences will take place on Saturday 13th November 2021.

A number of drivers from CC Rods, Stock Rods, 2.0 Hot Rods, Classic Hot Rods and National Hot Rods* have given up their time and will be doing experience laps with around half a dozen cars on track on each run. Each run will cost the passenger a minimum of £25 with all funds raised going towards charity.

We encourage passengers to supply their own or borrow overalls, gloves, helmet etc for the day, though we will have a limited availability available for use.

Each run will be 10 laps.

We have limited availability and to particpate, we ask you to contact us through email in advance so that we can assign you a driver or car. There will be the option to pay on the day subject to availability. All passengers will be required to pay their admission fee at the main reception, before going to the drivers sign in office to complete their disclaimer, and make their donation. This should be done as early as possible in the day. It is then your responsibility to ensure you are at your assigned vehicle ahead of the run or risk missing out.

Preview
The 1300 Stock Cars take centre stage as they contest the Michelle Freck Memorial Event. This is an event that continues to be close to our hearts, with Michelle having been a close friend to everyone here at Lochgelly Raceway throughout the years. We are proud to stage this event as we remember Michelle in the best possible manner. A strong field of cars will again contest it, as the drivers lock horns and aim to come out on top! The newly crowned European Champion, Kyle Hegg will be looking to secure yet another high profile victory in what has been a season to remember for the 715 pilot. He won't have it all his own way though, with Fraser Clark, Andrew Mathieson, Craig Haxton and Billy Wilson all looking to make the race a race to remember!

The Micro Bangers are with us for a team event - a first for us at Lochgelly Raceway - as we look to provide an entertaining evening of racing. With a team event, you can expect a number of drivers to hang back, and look to take out the opposition, whilst a couple of drivers go about scoring as many points as they can muster up, whilst avoiding those trying to stop them!! It could be an interesting affair, and something that we may look to build on in years going forward!!

The ProStocks are with us for the final time in 2021 - and with Darren Rae moving ahead in the track championship, it looks like he will secure both that and the National Points this weekend, all going to plan for the 638 driver. Ian Christie has shown at times throughout the season that he can get his Ford going well, especially in more difficult conditions, as he picked up another win last weekend. The formula always produces some good racing, and this weekend will be no different as the bumpers go in for one last time in 2021 - it could be lively!

The Junior Productions have been a formula that has risen throughout the year - as numbers increase, as do the driving standards. A healthy field of cars for the final outing of 2021 will see a couple of Northern Irish visitors join us as well. The battle for the points championship has gone to the wire - with only a handful of points seperating Koddi Wright and Jase Walle throughout the season, it will all be decided this Saturday night!! William Plenderleith and Liam Loggie have both came on greatly since their debut only a few meetings ago, with both drivers leading the field on seperate occasions last time out - will one of the 2 novices get a maiden win this weekend?

To round off the evening, we will see the Caravan Carnage take to the track in what looks set to be the biggest turn out in history, with over 10 caravans expected to take to the track!!

We have a number of 2 seater events taking place at 4pm, with the main event expected to start around 5pm.

Banger Teams
Each driver will pay £10 entry plus the normal ORCi levy.
All funds will go to the winning team on the day.

Points will be awarded for positions placed in each of the races 10-1 for the 3 races, with the DD winner getting a bonus 10 points for their team!
