We’re back in action this Saturday night at Lochgelly Raceway for an excellent mix of contact and non contact racing!

The 1300 Stock Cars are benefiting from HRP now being the soul promotor in Scotland, and numbers really are rocketing – at the time of writing, there is 27 1300 Stock Cars booked in to race, and with still more drivers to come, things will only continue to improve. The opening meeting of the season seen a strong turn out of cars and despite damp, cold and greasy conditions, the 1300 Stock Cars put on a good showing, with one of the best finals we have seen in recent times. Craig Haxton, Graham Osbourn, and Connor Mason are amongst a number of drivers set to make their season debut. Declan Lindsell was in good form last time out, and will be looking to continue in making strides around Lochgelly Raceway. Sean Naismith was pipped to the post in the meeting final at the opening meeting, and will be hoping to get a win under his belt this weekend. John Whyte showed great pace from white grade last time out and is back out with us this weekend. John will be hoping to show the same sort of pace this weekend and take away a few good point scoring positions for his efforts. Kyle Hegg is no stranger to battles and with a great amount of experience, he’ll be hoping to bring his car home to a haul of points this weekend, and will take no prisoners in his quest to do so! It certainly looks set to be a lively event and we are sure that the 1300 Stock Cars will put on a show!

The CC Rods are back in action for the second week in succession; An excellent opening meeting seen Ian Donaldson in excellent form, whilst his 2019 challenger Lee Wotherspoon, struggled with mechanical issues throughout the evening. Ian will be hoping to make another excellent charge this Saturday night as he bids to open up an advantage in the points at the earliest opportunity in the season. Ian Taylor took to the CC Rods well last week and ended up walking away with victory in the final following the disqualification of Ian Donaldson. Lee Scott will be moving up to red grade fairly soon if he carries on the form that he started the season off in, a race win, and a couple of great results. Lee finally looks to have found a setup that works for him, and he’ll be hoping to be a mainstay in the battle for the trophies throughout the 2020 season. The non contact class often provides some excellent door to door racing and we expect nothing less from the HRP domestic class this coming Saturday too!

The 2.0 Hot Rods are in action for the first time in 2020. A number of drivers have now moved on from the formula, though, with a few of the cars being sold on in Scotland, it is hopeful that we will see a few new drivers take to the track in the coming race meetings. John Campbell leads the line up this Saturday night as he looks to battle for the coveted silver roof in the 2020 season. John is a bit of a wet weather expert and will be hoping for damp conditions, though is no slouch in the dry! Marc Fortune showed glimpses of good form towards the closing stages of the 2019 season and will be hoping to start the 2020 season better than he did 2019! It’s taken longer than Marc would have hoped for to find his feet, but he’ll be hoping to hit the ground running at the season opener this weekend. Andrew Denholm was arguably one of the most improved drivers of the 2019 season, and will be looking to kick off the season with a steady haul of points.

The Ministox have another great turnout of cars, and with over 20 cars booked to race, they’ll be looking to be the formula that has everyone talking. The youngsters consistently put on a good show, and with an incredible amount of talent on track, it’ll be hard to predict who’ll do the winning! Brandon Morton did excellent last time out, and will be looking to carry on that streak. Rachel Kidd continues to improve, and will have taken a lot of confidence from the season opener as she bids to become one of the formula front runners. 2019 Track Champion, Aaron Richards will be with us this weekend after missing the season opener. Warwick McClymont is set to make his Ministox debut all going to plan, and its great to see another youngster take to the track. Charlie Hardie, Scott Allardyce and Declan Honeyman will all be looking to get their seasons up and running after a disappointing season opener, to their standards. Rian Mitchell looks like he is back to his best after a difficult second half to the 2019 season – a number of point scoring finishes including a top three, will have given Rian a great boost ahead of our second meeting of the season for the Ministox. Jamie Dawson, Scott Smith, Freya Lovett and Max Walker all make the trip from their northern bases.

The Junior Productions look set to see Jack Dixon join the ranks, the older brother of former Ninja Kart driver, Declan. Jase Walle will be looking to add to his tally of wins this weekend as he looks to take away more trophies. Koddi Wright, the National Points Champion, will be looking to find a little more pace out of his Vauxhall Adam following on from the season opener. Kyle and Samantha Rogerson are back in action this weekend, and the Rogerson Coach Travel supported drivers will be looking to score some silverware. With a number of new drivers in the formula, it is inevitable that there will be some collisions along the way, but we are hopeful that the drivers will learn from any mistakes made in the opening meeting as they continue to improve their on track race craft.

A great line up of events in store this Saturday night, and we are looking forward to welcoming you along! First race is at 6pm, with the gates opening at 3pm! See you all then, and don’t forget, to bring a friend!
