The Back 2 Basics bangers have arguably been one of the success stories of the 2nd half of the season here at Lochgelly Raceway, with numbers growing with each passing event, ensuring that the formula will likely be a key feature on the 2021 fixture list as a reward for the drivers supporting the formula.

With more than 20 cars expected to contest the B2B Scottish Championship this Saturday night (26th September) a lively encounter is expected. With the likes of James Dillon, Ian Cameron, Barry Jarman and Lee Clarke on track, it is difficult to predict what type of meeting we will see! The B2B bangers are designed to be a nudge and spin style formula without the full scale banger racing, although, that doesn't mean that it doesn't happen from time to time, especially with titles on offer!

The 1300 Stock Cars are a little down on numbers this week, with a number of drivers feeling the pains and have been unable to fix there cars from last weeks Scottish Championship event. New Scottish Champion Fraser Clark will be with us though as he looks to continue his excellent form, whilst National Points Champion Sean Naismith will be looking to put last weeks disappointment behind him as he bids to win the 2020 track championship as well! With lesser cars on track, it will give opportunities to some of our newer drivers to find a bit of track time without being over-run by a stampede of cars - regardless though, the 1300 drivers will put on a showing of excellent stock car racing! There are rumours that Kyle Hegg will be retiring from the 1300 Stock Car scene after this weekend, and if that is the case, he'll no doubt be wanting to go out with a win or 2 and in style!

The 2.0 Hot Rods will welcome World Champion Dave Leech north of the border for the 3rd time this season - a welcome visitor here at Lochgelly Raceway. With only a couple of meetings to go before the Scottish Championship for the formula, the likes of Kevin Stewart and Gerry Hendry will be looking to gain as much track time as possible as they look to tweak setups to get the maximum performance from there cars. Jock Campbell will be back with us again having been in action last week as well with his Classic Hot Rod. National Hot Rod World Champion Robert McDonald will make an outing in the 2.0 class, whilst former F2 World Champion Chris Burgoyne will also take to the track as he gives the non-contact class a try!

The Ministox never fail to disappoint here at Lochgelly Raceway, and with just around 20 cars expected on track, it\'ll likely be another night of action from the youngsters. Lewis Burgoyne will be racing from blue grade for the final time before moving upto red in October. Lewis has been in electric form at Lochgelly since the restart of the season and will be looking for another good haul of points on Saturday. Charlie Hardie and Robbie Armit lead the Lochgelly Track Championship with less than 10 points between them - the former Ninja Kart champions have raised there game in the Ministox and are now 2 of the front runners at all events. Rachel Kidd has had a lot of bad luck since the season restarted, and she'll be hoping for a clean break this weekend as she bids to turn her fortunes around. Sam Cavanagh is a driver that has shown a lot of potential over the last couple of weeks, taking a confidence boosting win here last time out, he'll be looking to carry on that this weekend.

The CC Rods are the final formula in action. The CC Rods generally always put on a show with some formidable racing on offer. Steven Duffy will be making his 2nd outing in the formula, whilst Shane Allen makes a return to action having sat on the sidelines since the end of 2019. Ian Donaldson hopes to make it out on track as well after having a night off in the 2.0 Hot Rods!
