Friday 12th August will see three fantastic formula take to the track in a quick fire, non stop action packed meeting.
The 1300 Stock Cars feature following their jaunt to Northern Ireland last weekend where they contested the National Championship. The 1300 Stock Cars always provide brilliant racing here at Lochgelly Raceway, with bumpers going in from the green flag to the chequered flag as the drivers battle it out to come out on top. Fraser Clark has been in great form of late, and has moved ahead of Kyle Hegg in the track championship, though still trail the 715 car in the National Points Championship. Patrick Calderwood has had good pace since returning to the formula, though the lower graded drivers have had a lot of success of late - Charlie Henry and David Izatt both scoring well in recent outings, whilst Regan Watson took an excellent race win last time out too! The star graded drivers will have their work cut out this Friday, as they look to make an impact on the lower graded drivers - it may be a case of who can clear the traffic quickest will have the most success!
The Ministox are with us for, and will again provide some great racing. The youngsters never fail to entertain, with such a high calibre of driver currently in the formula. Charlie Hardie, Jake Wilson and Robbie Armit will likely start are favourites for success given their dominance for much of the 2022 campaign, but Demi Ritchie, Rian Mitchell and Hamish Plenderleith have all shown they have the pace and courage to match those around them at any given race meeting. Eevie Ford is set to make her Ministox debut, whilst Kenzie Kopacz continues to get to grips with the Ministox class.
The CC Rods are with us for the second time in a week, following an excellent outing last Saturday night. The CC Rods generally always provide great racing, but the last few meetings has seen the formula excel even further, with some brilliant side by side and bumper to bumper racing as the drivers give each other a lot of respect, and as such, provide the public with some great racing. Kyle Hutchison and Raymond Brown look like the two most consistent drivers this year, and as such, both lead the way in the points championship. Lee Scott, Kevin Hutchison and Emma Kirk will be looking to score well as they look to have a strong end to the season, and in the run up to the Scottish Championship event in the not too distant future. James Robertson had a fantastic outing last weekend, taking a hat-trick of race wins, that will see him start from blue grade this weekend. Mirran Adams and Natalie Mason will be looking to pick up points in each of their three races as they fly the flag for the girls in the CC Rod formula.
Spectator gates open 6pm, first race, 7pm!
