Furious Action at Lochgelly
This Saturday at Lochgelly Raceway, there is a great mix of non-contact and contact racing.

The elite of non contact oval racing, the National Hot Rods return in the latest round of the 2021-22 qualifying campaign as the battle intensifies for the places at the World Final in July. Ross McWilliam looks a dead cert for qualification, but beyond him, it is a wide open affair. Roy Anderson, Marc Spence and James Mooney look to be the three battling it out, though with a few newcomers to the formula of late, it may not be a straight battle amongst them.

The Superstox will provide some great action, with a few on track battles appearing to liven things up last time - will it be a one off occurrence, or will we see some more great battles developing. The great thing about the Superstox racing at Lochgelly Raceway is the fact that drivers can battle hard, but make it back out for the next race without substantial damage. Dean Johnston has been the inform driver of late - can anyone stop him this weekend? Scottish Champion Aaron Riddell looked to have the pace last time out for the Superstox, but could not quite get near enough to make any type of challenge. Dom Currie is hoping to make his debut in the class.

The ProStocks return to Lochgelly Raceway for the first time in April. Darren Rae continues to be the driver to beat, though, a strong showing from some of the lower graded drivers last time out meant that the wins were spread out a bit more. Grant Barker, Gavin Ritchie, and John Jackson will all be looking for success, whilst World Cup winner Ian Christie, will be looking to make an impact. There could be an outing for Dean McGill as he looks to re-join the ProStock ranks.

The Junior Productions are back with us following some great racing last time out. James Slater is getting to grips with his new car and looks to claim his first victory of the season. A host of girl racers currently participate in the class which has become one of the formula to watch over the last year or so. Kaitlyn Smart and Connie Anderson currently lead the march for the girls, though Leona Anderson, Olivia Krzyanowska, Keira Wotherspoon and Brooke McMullan have all came on tenfold since the season began, whilst Hollie Ritchie made her debut last time out. Koddi Wright, Jase Walle and Jack MacLeod continue to be the top point scoring drivers and are the ones to watch. Lewis Dickson has matured into a fine young drivers, and has scored points consistently from the blue grade this year, as he looks to continue his progression in the formula since stepping up from Ninja Karts.

The 1300 Stock Cars are with us for the second week in succession, and will again be looking to steal the plaudits after some fantastic racing last weekend. A field of 20+ cars is yet again expected at Lochgelly Raceway which is sure to bring action and entertainment. Fraser Clark and Kyle Hegg have been in a great battle throughout the season, with a lot of respect given to each other as the drivers race fair, but hard. Kai Gilmour took a couple of race wins last weekend, and will be racing from red grade this weekend and will have to work that bit harder for another successful evening on Saturday. Gregor Whyte will be refusing to touch his car this week, after it handled perfectly last weekend and powered him to a race win - can he repeat that this Saturday evening?

Be sure to join us at Lochgelly Raceway for an action packed evening of racing.

First race, 5.30pm! Spectator gates open approx 3.30pm.
