The UKMC Sponsored Ninja Karts are back with us in astonishing numbers - A superb 28 karts are already booked in with all corners of the UK represented!
English Superstar Finley Kew will join the Scottish contingent as he looks to have another excellent outing north of the border, meanwhile Northern Irish superstar Leyton Hughes will also be heading across the sea to be with us at Lochgelly Raceway. Add in Clark Ferris, Jake Ashby, George Climo, Joby Hall, Murray Hall, and Ryan Berry, the other visiting drivers, and it certainly looks to be a packed field of Ninja Karts. Leeland Dearn is set to make his season debut in the formula, whilst Kal Wotherspoon, Katie Lee Smart, Cameron Mason, Matthew McIntrye and Saul Galloway continue to build there experience and on track confidence. Cole Ford will be looking to have an excellent meeting with us as he looks for a good point scoring haul that will see him upgrade to red having narrowly missed out last month. Sister Eevie Ford will be starting from the back of the grid for the first time having scored excellently from the white grade. Kenzie Bell and Toby Tyson will be looking to add to there trophy haul, whilst Connie Anderson and Hamish Plenderleith will be looking for another good meeting. These Ninja Karts are a class of there own, with lightning quick reactions – Saturday night promises to test the nerve of those looking on!!
The 2.0 Hot Rods are with us for the 3rd week in a row. John Campbell expect to be back out on track with us, despite his incident last Sunday afternoon! Marc Honeyman will be back upto blue grade for Saturdays event having took a hat-trick of wins last week… Can he emulate that this weekend? Lewis Willacy has shown great maturity in the formula, and has taken several wins already this year. Racing from blue grade, he doesn’t look out of place and will be in the mix come the finishing line! Kevin Stewart and Derek Connor continue to look the quickest two drivers on track, but its never plain sailing on the oval! Some great bumper to bumper and door to door action is anticipated!
The Junior Productions have so far had an excellent season with good car numbers, and this weekend looks to be no different. The junior non-contact formula often has its spills and thrills, but we are all hopeful of an exciting, yet damage free event! Can the youngsters keep it clean, or will there be incidents on track? One thing for sure, is that the racing is getting better with each and every passing meeting for the formula.
The ProStocks had arguably there best meeting in quite some time last time out, with 20 cars taking to the track, and although there were quite some damage, the racing was generally unmissable. This weekend we are hoping for another excellent affair from the formula.
The Superstox only have a few meetings left in the battle for the National Points Championship, and with only a few points between Barry Stephen and Bryan Forrest, things could get interesting this coming Saturday as the drivers look to outscore each other. Dean Johnston and Mark Brady will be out with us again looking to pick up the pieces. Mark Brady will be hoping to add to his win last weekend.
Pre-Meeting practice starts at 3.30pm. Spectator gates open 3.30pm.
