It promises to be a thunderous night at Lochgelly Raceway with an excellent 4 formula line up on the agenda.
The all action 1300 Stock Cars will be out in force, with a few scores to settle as the battle heats up for the Lochgelly Track Championship. Almost 30 drivers are expected to be in attendance with a few names from the past expected to be joining the grid. The big on action Stock Car formula will be out to put on a show. Can Jamie Stewart increase his impressive run in the formula, or will his cards be marked on Saturday night? Dougie Ford and Fraser Clark had a bit of a coming together 2 weeks ago - Will there be a fallout from that event, or will the drivers put there heads down and get on with racing? Andrew Mathieson has been in impressive form since the season restarted, and is a serious challenger for the track championship. Sean Naismith looks to have sealed the National Points with the absence of Eddie Corr in recent weeks. The final race of the evening will see a closed grid, dash for cash take place (subject to time) with an extra incentive up for grabs thanks to Ringtone Race Painter.
The UKMC Ninja Karts welcome Finley Kew and Jake Ashby north of the border as the youngsters look to show the adults up with some excellent race craft!! With over 20 Ninja Karts booked into race, the races are sure to be eventful, but yet provide some enthrilling on track racing. Cole Ford and Eevie Ford both started out the 2020 campaign in excellent style, though both missed out last time out. Both of them will be looking to get back to the form they were in when they last raced here at Lochgelly Raceway. Scottish Champion Toby Tyson had a few excellent races last time out - most notably with the ever improving Connie Anderson. Kenzie Bell, and Kenzie Kopacz were another 2 drivers showing some excellent speed at the last event. Can Kenzie Kopacz continue to outshine father Lee?
The Stock Rods will see James Morris and Maison Waugh join the grid, whilst a good turn out of Scottish drivers are also expected to be in attendance. The non-contact class generally provides excellent raceway around the tight Lochgelly Raceway, even with reduced car numbers. Mid teens are expected to be in attendance this Saturday night. Dean McGill has been in excellent form in 2020 and will no doubt be one to beat on this weekend.. Can the likes of Chris Lattka, Gary Dean, Siobhan Martin and Darren McAlpine find something to overcome the flying McGill car? Or how abouts Jim Pitcaithly? The 2.0 Hot Rods National Points Champion recently returned to Stock Rods though was plagued with troubles last time out!
The ProStocks never let anyone down here at Lochgelly Raceway, and always put on a performance, and with mid teens again expected, Saturday night promises to be another lively encounter!
One thing for sure is, it looks like its going to be an EXCELLENT race meeting!!
Join us this Saturday night for your Scottish Stock Car Fix!
