September 7th Preview
It’s a five formula line up this Saturday night at Lochgelly Raceway. Saturday 7th September will see the action get underway at 5.30pm, as the Ninja Karts JusBounce Event, Superstox, National Hot Rods WQR, Stock Rods and ProStocks all feature.

The Ninja Karts have provided some excellent nail biting racing throughout the 2024 season, and we anticipate that Saturday will be no different. William Hunn is the holder of the JusBounce shield, who has now retired from the formula meaning that a new driver will claim the shield this weekend. Rory Wilson has been the consistent front runner throughout the year, and will start as one of the favourites, however, there is an array of talent and potential winners on the grid. Jayden Jeffrey and Henry Hunn have both been producing great results of late, and consistently finishing in the top few places. Christopher Lattka, Alfie Shevill and Ryan Love have all raised their game over the last few months, with all three showing excellent pace and the potential to win. Jamie Balfour is never far away neither, and you cannot discount the likes of Layton Cairns, Sophia Allan and Rayah Burns neither. We’ve a couple of visiting drivers set to join us as well, and we look forward to welcoming them along on Saturday.

The National Hot Rods provided brilliant racing last time out with very little between much of the drivers, and we expect to see another close fought night of action on Saturday. Ross McWilliam, Gordon Alexander and Ian Donaldson will likely start as favourites for success. Ethan Doull and James Robertson will both be hoping to be battling at the front end once more, whilst the likes of Derek Connor will all be hoping for a piece of the cherry come Saturday night. The non-contact class is capable of providing super racing, with the drivers racing wheel to wheel or bumper to bumper for long periods throughout the race!

The Stock Rods are with us for their first time since the Spedeworth TV European Championship in the middle of August. The Stock Rods have seen some brilliant racing over the course of the season with a highly competitive field of cars. Dean Heeps is set to make his debut in the formula having turned 16 during the week and retired from the Ministox class. Heeps joins an array of youngsters in the formula – Koddi Wright, Jack MacLeod and Lennon Grant for example, are all recent graduates of some of the Junior formula. European Champion Robbie Armit, Gary Dean and Dean McGill will be hoping to charge from the rear of the grid as they look to score some good points as the push on in their quests to chase the national points for 2024-25.

The Superstox only have a handful of meetings remaining here at HRP Lochgelly Raceway in 2024, and it has been pleasing to see the numbers pick up as the season has progressed. The racing has at times been very exciting with lots of hard hitting, action packed racing. European Champion Dean Johnston will hopefully be back in attendance as he looks to fight it out for the points championships once more. Aaron Riddell has been the in-form driver though, with a good run of victories currently. Kenny McKenzie and Adam Low have both been front runners and have delivered excellent racing with a few big hits along the way. Josh Duff has only recently joined in on the action, and has shown he isn’t afraid to get stuck in as well having put the bumper in on a few drivers last time out! Dylan Anderson is hoping to make his debut in the ex Jordan Black HCD all going to plan.

The ProStocks are the final formula in attendance, and they too have seen some exciting racing over the last year. The nudge and spin class has excelled and has seen the formula become one of the must watch classes with lots of exciting, dramatic and eventful races. Paul Barron and Dean McGill had some exciting battles last time out, whilst the likes of Dougie Kidd, Chris Mack and Grady Ross are in also in great form. With the World Cup just over one month away, the season looks set to finish on a high with lots still to race for!

We ask all guests to please take care when arriving and leaving the venue. The access road to the stadium is often used by horses and pedestrians walking - please give space and respect to them.

The drivers sign in office will open at 2.15pm, whilst practice will get underway at 3.00pm. The sign in office will close 30minutes before the first race. Thereafter, drivers must sign in from the main reception. The first race gets underway at 5.30pm.

50 50 TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

Drivers are reminded that they are responsible for leaving a tidy pit area, utilizing the bins provided, or taking rubbish away with them. Any teams found to be leaving their pit area untidy, will be fined and possibly banned from attending race meetings.

The spectator gates will open at 3pm, with trackside parking only available on a first come first served basis. High sided vehicles are requested to park on the upper level, and the far end of the middle level, so not to obstruct views of those behind them.
