Meeting Date: Friday 3rd June

Friday 3rd June at Lochgelly Raceway will see around 130 cars descend upon the venue as they look to put on a show, in what could very well be the meeting of the season!
32 BriSCA Formula One Stock Cars (correct at time of writing) are currently booked to race as they head north for the first time since 2018. The Big League are the ultimate pull in contact oval racing, with each car weighing in at around 2 tonnes. The mighty V8 engines will send shockwaves through your body, with the power generated enough to cause vibrations through the ground you stand on. A full format meeting is scheduled for the F1 Stock Cars, with 2 heats, consolation, final and grand national set to take place. The grand final will see around 30 of these beasts take to the track, and provide a mouth-watering, entertaining, and not to be missed spectacle! Lee Fairhurst, Frankie Wainman and Mat Newson are familiar names that will no doubt the be the ones on the tips of peoples tongues, but since the last time the Big League were here, a host of new drivers have came into the formula that are destined for big things! Whoever comes out on top on Friday night, will have had to have worked to earn it!
The V8 Hot Stox are a formula that have never raced in Scotland previously, though have seen some great racing south of the border, particularly over the last few years where numbers have grown, and racing has prospered as a result. The little cousins of the F1 have been known to out perform of the F1 in the past - will that be the case this Friday evening? Or will the F1 be the formula to take the plaudits? Around 25 V8 Hot Stox are currently booked in to race, with an all in format planned - the grids will be full, and will no doubt be action packed!! Steve Thompson, a former National Hot Rod driver is one driver currently scheduled to be with us this Friday as he displays the number 1 roof around the country!
The National Ministox have become a regular attendee when the F1 come to Scotland, with some mighty racing on offer from the youngsters. A 2 thirds format is set to be run here at Lochgelly, and with just under 40 cars booked to race, including a couple of guest drivers in hire cars, there should be great racing in each and every race. The heats will be run over 12 laps as is customary for the formula, which means the drivers need to get on with things fast - particularly those coming through from the rear of the grids. This often allows for some exciting, and eventful racing!! The National Ministox have historically been a feeder formula for BriSCA F1, with many of the current crop of F1 stars starting out in this very formula.
The 1300 Stock Cars are the final formula in action, and we can expect around 30 of those to be with us as well! The bumper brigade have been a stalwart here at HRP Lochgelly, and have consistently performed excellently, with some superb racing on offer. The likes of Kyle Hegg, Fraser Clark and Danny Whyte will have their work cut out as they attempt to battle their way through a stubborn and aggressive field of cars.
Site back, relax, and enjoy the action!!
