THE BIG ONE THE BIG ONE
A 2 day special weekend event takes place as we celebrate 10 (+1) years of Lochgelly Raceway, sponsored by Rogerson Coach Travel.

The Unlimited Bangers take centre stage as they contest their 2021 Scottish Championship with one of the biggest, and high profile field of cars that we have seen at Lochgelly Raceway for the Unlimited Banger class. Over 30 cars are currently booked into race at this event, which promises to be special - with a £1000 prize fund on offer as well!! All cars will take to the track for the Scottish Championship, before a member of the public is asked to pick a number which will determine the first row of the grid for the event. Neil Naismith is the reigning champion, having won the event in 2019 - the last time it was staged due to the pandemic.

The Ministox will also contest their own Scottish Championship, with just under 30 cars booked to race, it will be an all in format with 2 reverse grid heats determining the grid for the Scottish Championship - certain to provide some super racing. Charlie Hardie will fancy his chances on home soil, as will Scott Allardyce and form driver Jake Wilson. Lewis Burgoyne will hope to become the latest Burgoyne name to claim a title, as he represents GMP in the Scottish Championship, whilst Jamie Dawson, the Crimond National Points Champion, will be hoping to become the 2021 Scottish Champion as well! A host of other drivers though, will all be looking to be the one that comes out victorious, and given what we have seen in the formula over the last couple of years - it really could be anyones race!!! Apex Garden Rooms sponsor the Ministox Scottish Championship, whilst GA Autos have kindly sponsored the Ministox Fife Championship - due to take place on Sunday.

The Superstox will contest the Lochgelly Masters for the first time, with a shield up for grabs courtesy of Mick Taylor Motorsport. A couple of visitors join us as they look for an opportunity for some competitive practice ahead of the British Championship in September. Dan and Charlie Santry both make the trip north, as are Declan Salmon and Bradley Brooker. Dean Johnston was in electric form last weekend as he looks to finally have his car dialled in. Can he take the top spot and claim the 2021 Lochgelly Masters? Or can Bryan Forrest reclaim his mantle having been dislodged last weekend? Expect the bumpers to fly in across the weekend as the drivers battle it out gallantly in the quest to outscore the opposition.

The Rookie Bangers have an incredible 80 cars booked to race for the 2021 Scottish Championship - which will take place on the Sunday, and defended by Craig Royal. 2 qualifying heats will kick off the day for the Rookie Bangers in which every driver apart from the current champion will have to contest in, in order to be eligible for the Scottish Championship race. 2 further all comers racers and a Demolition Derby will round off the weekend for the banger formula!

30 1300 Stock Cars are already booked in to race on Saturday evening. The bumper brigade have provided some super racing this season already, and will be looking to carry on that trend this weekend. Can they steal the plaudits from the Banger formula or the Ministox? They will certainly give it there all, and expect no mercy on track!!

The Junior Productions, Stock Rods and Ninja Karts all also feature on the Saturday, whilst the 2.0 Hot Rods, CC Rods both feature on the Sunday!

First race on Saturday, 1pm. A restbite break will occur at 4pm, with racing resuming at 5pm.
First race on Sunday, 12pm!
