HRP Lochgelly Raceway are set to be the first to stage this, and as such are the ‘crash test dummies’ in that respect, but we are sure it will be an event to watch with graded races throughout the Sunday afternoon with drivers from all nations chasing the points! Rolling back to the Saturday night and it will be the David Philp Commercials National Hot Rod European Championship that takes centre stage – Three qualifying heats as drawn ‘out the hat’, with the points tallied up to give the European Championship grid. Robert McDonald is chasing his third European Championship, but he has never yet retained the title, and given that he won it in 2025, he’ll need to break that trend to do so. 2024 European Champion Adam Maxwell is set to be with us again having missed out last year due to other commitments, meaning he was unable to defend his title. We’ve no doubt that Adam will be hoping for a wet meeting given how well he always seems to perform at Lochgelly in such conditions!! The grid is littered with contenders though – Ross McWilliams, Gordon Alexander, Perry Cooke, Derek Martin, Billy Wood have all found themselves there or thereabouts in years gone by..\r\n\r\nThe 1400 Stock Cars are set to battle it out for their European Championship – Curtis ‘Tebbz’ Tebbenham is the reigning champion, but at the time of writing, isn’t currently booked in to defend his title which could open the door for a new champion to be crowned. The 1400s will contest in qualifying heats on the Saturday night before racing for the big race on the Sunday afternoon. A Scottish Open and Dash For Cash will follow afterwards to complete the weekend for the formula as we look set to see around 40 cars in action over the two days.\r\n\r\nThe 2.0 Hot Rods battle it out for their Spedeworth TV European Championship and there are plenty of young drivers on the grid these days – Charlie Homewood Burrows and Charlie Hardie two of such youngsters that have taken to the formula excellently. World Champion Jason Secker will be looking to claim the European Championship but will face stern competition from an array of Northern Irish drivers all looking for glory, as well as a number of excellent mainland drivers! Three qualifying heats will see the grid determined for the 2.0s, with the main race taking place on Sunday afternoon.\r\n\r\nThe Stock Rods contest both days as support, with two meetings being held and the Sunday being the Lochgelly Masters – currently held by Dean McGill. McGill has moved to the 1400 Stock Car formula though, so we will see a new champion crowned. We are expecting a few visiting drivers too as they look to get some track time in ahead of the World Final in September, whilst also supporting an excellent race meeting.\r\n\r\nThe Classic Hot Rods are the final formula in attendance – subject to car numbers, as they race for the Scottish Open Championship and Malcolm Chesher Memorial events over the two days. \r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway over the course of the weekend. Pick up a fixture list at the main reception to see what we have in store for the rest of the season. \r\n\r\nA reminder, we have 50 50 TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.\r\n\r\n<span style=color:red; font-wright:bold; >\r\nA reminder, motorsport can be dangerous. The promotors do our utmost to ensure a safe environment for all, however, given the nature of the sport, risks cannot be fully eradicated.\r\n\r\nAll attendee’s are requested to drive with care whilst arriving and leaving the venue. Watch on as the drivers battle at speed around the Lochgelly Raceway oval; With a steel perimiter around the track, there is no margin for error. It\'s exciting. It\'s dramatic. It\'s a fantastic family night out.\r\n\r\nIt’s a fast and frantic as the races are turned around quickly with no pause for breath.\r\nFeaturing\r\n• U Pull It 1400 Stock Cars SP Utilities R2\r\n• ProStocks\r\n• & Ministox\r\n\r\nBe sure to join us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway.\r\n\r\nFind us just off the A92 at Lochgelly, KY5 9BU.\r\n\r\nThe U Pull It 1400 Stock Cars have served up some great action at Lochgelly Raceway this year and there has been lots of different race winners. The 1400 Stock Cars promise to provide edge of your seat racing with plenty of metal crunching action. Youngsters such as Abe Adams, Sam Cavanagh and Kevin Graham have all shown they have the ability to mix it with some of the ‘old timers’, more experienced drivers on the grid and aren’t afraid to get stuck in when it matters. Joshua Machin leads the way in the National Points and will be looking to keep the gap at the top. Chris Innes has made an impressive start to his 1400 Stock Car career with a couple of wins under his belt already. This week we expect to see 13 Aaron Forgie make his debut in the class.\r\n\r\nThe ProStocks have provided good action throughout each event this year with plenty of competitive exciting racing. Paul Barron misses out after suffering a knock last weekend along the road, which will hand the advantage in the points chart to the likes of Ryan Martin and Rachel Kidd. Mark Boyle has found good form of late and will be one to watch once more on Saturday with the new grades in effect.\r\n\r\nThe ORCi Ministox were over in Northern Ireland last weekend where we seen some good results for local drivers, though it was Jayden Roff that came away with the Irish Open title. Lana Middler has shown good pace in recent events here at Lochgelly and she’ll be looking to carry that on as she chases more points. Oakley Grief took a hat-trick of wins last time out at Lochgelly – will he carry that on, or will he find himself starting further back come the 1st May? Shaun Boyle looks to have overcame his unlucky start to the season and has started to score some good points as he moves up the points chart and back the grid too. \r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. Watch on as the drivers battle at speed around the Lochgelly Raceway oval; With a steel perimiter around the track, there is no margin for error. It\'s exciting. It\'s dramatic. It\'s a fantastic family night out.\r\n\r\nThis Saturday it’s a five formula event with 15 excellent races to look forward too, including two banger formula!\r\n\r\nFeaturing\r\n• Fife Medical Group National Micro Banger World Cup QR2\r\n• Stock Rods\r\n• Superstox\r\n• National Hot Rods WQR 11\r\n• Junior Bangers\r\n\r\nThe Stock Rod formula have been one of the stand out formula of 2026 so far, delivering hugely competitive racing with good car numbers at each of our events, and that looks likely to continue this weekend as we see just under 20 cars currently booked to race, including southern visitor 5, Jamie Callis.\r\n\r\nThe Superstox are with us once more and we are set to see Kenny McKenzie take to the track for the first time this season as he has his 2026 car now ready to race. He’ll be joined by the ever present front running drivers, such as Bryan Forrest, Adam Low and Aaron Riddell. We welcome Michael Green and Ollie Jones north of the border as they look to get some track time ahead of the ASD World Championship later this year. \r\n\r\nThe National Micro Bangers and Junior Bangers are both capable of producing exciting racing with plenty of on track action – with the Junior Bangers seemingly having a tendency to see wheels come off the ground on occasion!\r\n\r\nThe National Hot Rods complete the line up, as they race for the final time ahead of the 2026 DPC European Championship, which takes place over the 9th and 10th May.\r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. The early season has seen some great performances – Charlie Henry has taken a win at each of the three meetings this year. Callum Sturrock has shown good pace, whilst Fraser Clark looks to be back on form and he too has came away with some silverware already in 2026. Brant West has been developing his car between meetings and has improved at each of the three, and a win is just around the corner. Connor Jones has flown under the radar much of the year, but has consistently found himself in the mix for the podium places. There has been a few hard hitting moments with Joshua Machin, Dean McGill and Kai McNulty in the thick of the action – will that continue, or will the drivers get back to racing and getting some points on the board? There is only one way to find out – be sure to join us on Saturday 11th April.\r\n\r\nThe Junior Productions have served up some great racing – with a mix of experienced and non-experienced drivers serving up some dramatic moments as the drivers navigate each other whilst trying to keep things clean. Callum Ritchie was the quickest of the bunch last time out as he broke the lap record in his new car on the new tyres. Louie Hendry, Kenzie Kopacz and Bella Brown have all found good pace in the formula, and are all ones to watch out for – With the drivers being regraded recently, it will be interesting to see how things pan out this weekend as some of our newer drivers continue to find there feet.\r\n\r\nThe National Hot Rods are with us once more, and look set to provide further great racing – the formula are the pinnacle of the sport, and are always a formula to watch. With the European Championship taking place in around a months time, the drivers will be looking to optimise there setups to give them a good chance of success at that event, whilst also chasing World Final qualification. Gordon Alexander has had some issues with his car in the early part of the season which has dampened his progress, but he’ll be hoping to have resolved them as he looks to set about chasing victories once more. Ross McWilliam has been the dominant Scottish Series driver in the early part of 2026, though Barry Stephen has taken a few wins as well. John Sibbald looks to be putting himself into the mix with his new car too, whilst Cameron Willacy made his debut last time out. James Robertson hopes to be in attendance once more, whilst Chevy Mills is hopeful of being able to make his first outing of the season.\r\n\r\nThe Stock Rods are back with us, with a few drivers making the trip over to Northern Ireland at Easter Weekend. This Saturday we look set to see Ministox National Points Champion David Philp Jnr2 make his debut in the class, and we’ve no doubt he will soon be in the mix chasing success. The HRP field of Stock Rods are littered with talented drivers, and there has been an array of winners across the course of the season already, with drivers taking victories from across the grades. The formula has been touted as one of the most entertaining of the season with close, fast and extremely competitive racing, and we are sure they will once more entertain the masses this coming Saturday.\r\n\r\nThe CC Rods have seen good numbers in the early part of the season, and they take to the track this Saturday in R2 of their British Championship qualifying series. The Donaldson duo of Ian and Kevin have looked to be consistently quick, but Robert Conway and Lee Scott have both looked to be a match for the pair. John Gorman has found form too, whilst Gregor Whyte can never be discounted. Craig Denholm and John Downs are both hopeful of making their first outings of the 2026 season.\r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. The Superstox have provided some excellent close, hard and competitive racing at each of our previous events this season. Bryan Forrest looks to be back to his best having taken a hat-trick of victories last time out. Aaron Riddell has always been there or thereabouts though, and the current National Points Champion will be looking to get back on that top step this weekend. Adam Low will certainly find himself in the mix as well – he has been quick, and isn’t afraid to get stuck in when it matters too. Kenny McKenzie is hopeful of making his first outing of the season, whilst Dylan Anderson, Jordan Black and the rest of the field will be looking to put daylight between themselves and the chasing pack as quickly as possible.\r\n\r\nThe Ninja Karts never fail to disappoint with close racing and lots hair-raising moments as the youngsters excellently navigate there way in and out of the passing traffic. A number of visiting drivers are set to make an outing this weekend, with around 25 karts expected to be in attendance. Jayden Jeffrey and Ryan Love were both in good form last weekend and will be looking to carry that on come Saturday evening. A few of the visiting drivers are no strangers around Lochgelly Raceway and will be in contention for race wins throughout the night, whilst others, will be looking to get some good track time ahead of the Scrapco Metal Recycling World Championship in June.\r\n\r\nThe 2.0 Hot Rods always provide very fast close racing – the non-contact class is capable of producing some of the best racing around Lochgelly Raceway as the drivers use skill and determination to try and overcome the opposition without forcing them out of the way as is permitted in some other formula. It’s a risk and reward balance – make it work and you are rewarded with an excellent overtake, or fall short, and you can find yourself dropping back the order as you get stuck on the outside line. Charlie Hardie has been the one to beat so far in 2026, but Mark Dews and Allan Gibson have both shown great pace and have looked every bit as quick as the number 7 car. A couple of visiting drivers will add an extra dimension this weekend, and we should so some great racing.\r\n\r\nThe ORCi Ministox race in the first of the GA Autos Events of the season – with a couple of visiting drivers joining us. The Ironed up junior class has seen numbers drop away over the last couple of years, but, the racing has generally always still been exciting, fearless and eventful. Shaun Boyle, Stuart Shevill and Jayden Roff will be looking to score well, whilst a host of other drivers will be looking to take away a good haul of points too. Jamie Balfour has started the season off in a confident manner, and will be looking for some more good results on Saturday.\r\n\r\nFinally, the 1600 Bangers take to the track for the second time this season – the drivers are racing as they look to secure a spot in the 1600 World Final at Ipswich later in the season, whilst there are a few drivers out on track that look to throw a spanner in the works with hard hitting action hoped for from the 1600 class.\r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. Trackside, you will have uninterrupted views of the full track whatever your vantage point. Stand just metres from the track and your senses will be filled with adrenaline as the wind, smells and vibrations from the cars will be felt as the cars race passed just metres away.\r\n\r\nThe U-Pull-It 1400 Stock Cars join us once more as they look to provide exciting and entertaining racing – The armoured hatchbacks have started 2026 off with a bang with multiple flash points already involving a few drivers. Will they all be in attendance this weekend? Will the battles continue? Who’ll come out on top? There is only one way to find out, and that is to join us at Lochgelly Raceway and witness the action for yourself. This weekend there is added incentive as it is round 1 of the SP Utilities series. Fraser Clark has looked to have found form again and has come away with a few winners trophies already this year, and he’ll be looking to carry that form on into this weekend as he pushes himself up the points chart. Abe Adams took his first win in the formula last time out and he will be looking to build on that. Christopher Innes is hoping to make his debut in the class, whilst Joshua Machin looks to extend his lead at the top of the National Points. Connor Jones has started the 2026 season off in fine form, delivering consistent results at each of the two previous meetings, and has found himself in the running for race wins – Can he get that final push and claim a victory this weekend?\r\n\r\nThe National Hot Rods have delivered some very good racing this year, with improved car numbers a contributory factor in this. Cameron Willacy is set to make his debut in the formula this weekend, whilst Paul Cusack hopes to make his first outing of the season. Gordon Alexander, Ross McWilliam and Barry Stephen have all found themselves racing in close contention at much of the previous events this year. James Robertson and Robert McDonald are both set to join us, whilst John Sibbald will be looking to build on his impressive outing last time out. The National Hot Rods are the elite of non-contact oval racing, and race at speeds of upto 70mph around the short oval raceway. There is no room for error, and the drivers have to deliver skill, racecraft and bravery.\r\n\r\nThe Ninja Karts are with us and look set to continue in good numbers with just under 20 karts currently booked to participate. The youngsters as young as 6 always deliver heart in your mouth action and have absolutely ZERO fear. These kids reach speeds of almost 50mph around the Lochgelly Raceway and the more experienced drivers can race without lifting at all – It isn’t for the feint hearted as the youngsters weave in and out as they overtake inside, outside, inside again, whilst defending from those behind them without the aid of a mirror. There has been some fantastic racing so far this year, with Alfie McLeod starting his season off in the form of his life. Rory Wilson, Henry Hunn, Jayden Jeffrey et all have all had to work for their results, but all showed great pace last time out, and it will be interesting to see how this weekend fairs.\r\n\r\nThe CC Rods are the budget formula of HRP Lochgelly Raceway – the non-contact class often finds a lot of inexperienced drivers within the formula, which in itself can provide exciting racing – never knowing where to watch, or what to look out for. Some of the more established drivers have had a few heart in mouth moments as they look to navigate back markers, potentially losing out, or gaining at others’ expense. There are a few drivers new to the formula this year, and a few drivers that don’t have a huge amount of racing experience, and it is always good to see them grow in confidence as the season progresses. Hollie Ritchie looks to be settled into the formula now, and produced a great performance at the season opener, whilst Ian Donaldson, Kevin Donaldson, Lee Scott etc all had some great close battles.\r\n\r\nThe ProStocks complete the line up, and they are a formula that is often very unpredictable. When you expect a relatively straight forward meeting, something always pops up and keeps you alert. The nudge and spin class haven’t had the numbers of 2025 as yet, but it is good to see a few new drivers entering the formula this year, with Kaitlyn Marshal being one driver making her debut this weekend. Ryan Martin, Dougie Kidd and Paul Barron all looked quick last time out, whilst we seen some strong debut’s from the likes of Marley Montgomery and Dylan Dickson. \r\n\r\nWe hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway.
