Meeting Preview

The U Pull It 1300 Stock Cars take to the track once more on Saturday 27th, and will be looking to continue with their impressive display of racing. Around 25 cars are expected to be in attendance. The hard hitting nature of the formula often results in a few on track battles happening throughout each event, with drivers using force to try and make their way to the front as quickly as possible. There has been a lot of incredible action already in 2024, and we can’t wait to see the formula entertain once more on Saturday.

The National Hot Rods continue in their quest for world qualification with the likes of Gordon Alexander, Ross McWilliam, Ian Donaldson and Darren Scott all chasing a place on the grid!

The Ninja Karts are with us for the 2nd successive week, with the formula providing some great racing. A number of new drivers have entered the class in 2024, as they kick off their racing careers. Alfie Shevill didn’t have too much luck last time out, but will be looking to get some points this weekend. Alfie Campbell, Adam Donnelly are both also new drivers this year with Alfie finding himself in the thick of things already having been in a few incidents that hasn’t deterred him at all. Further back, Tommy Melrose has started the season excellently, having won 3 out of 3 last time out. Louie Hendry, Henry Hunn and Rory Wilson all look to be regular front runners, whilst Jayden Jeffrey is also always there or thereabouts.

The CC Rods are the final formula in attendance this week. The non contact class has seen a few good drivers move on, but that has opened the door for a few others to step up and become front runners in the class. The development budget class has produced a number of excellent drivers over the years. Ian Christie, Gregor Whyte, Kevin Hutchison and Lee Scott all look set to challenge for the race wins this weekend, however there are a number of quick lowers grades drivers on the track too. John Gorman and Natalie Mason will be looking to take away a few podium places this weekend.

The drivers sign in office will open at 2.30pm, whilst practice will get underway at 3.40pm.

Drivers are reminded that they are responsible for leaving a tidy pit area, utilizing the bins provided, or taking rubbish away with them. Any teams found to be leaving their pit area untidy, will be fined and possibly banned from attending race meetings.

The spectator gates will open at 3.30pm, with trackside parking only available on a first come first served basis. High sided vehicles are requested to park on the upper level, and the far end of the middle level, so not to obstruct views of those behind them.
