Meeting Preview

This coming Saturday at HRP Lochgelly Raceway, we have a feast of mouthwatering action to look forward too, with five formula taking to the track.

The ProStocks take centre stage on Saturday 24th May, as they race in the inaugural Graeme Boyle Memorial event. The evening will start off with a parade lap (driver and mechanic only) at 5.30pm, before the first race gets underway. With in excess of 25 ProStocks booked to race for this meeting, it promises to be up there with one of the best for quite some time, with high stakes, and plenty up for grabs! Mark Boyle will be keen to be in the mix, whilst numerous drivers will fancy there chances – The ProStock formula have provided great racing, and some very mixed results, with multiple race winners over the course of the season so far. Kai McNulty, Dean McGill, Grady Ross & Rachel Kidd are just a few of the drivers that have been in the mix regularly throughout the season.

The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars will be in action and we can expect to see World Champion, Darren Rae, British Champion* Gary Nicholls and Scottish Champion Jamie Stewart all in attendance in what is a strong line up of drivers. The hard hitting formula provides relentless on track action, with end to end action, race after race. Joshua Machin has proven that he isn’t afraid to get stuck in, and looks to be an exciting driver to watch on track, with good pace as well. Kevin Graham, a relative newcomer to the formula, has took to the formula excellently, and drove superbly in the all comers race on the 11th May, holding off some of the formulas top drivers to claim the win!

The National Hot Rods compete in the 11th round of their World Qualifying Series, and there is still lots to play for. Gordon Alexander currently leads the way, but with James Robertson, Ian Donaldson, Derek Connor and Ross McWilliam all still in the mix, there is a lot to look forward too. Ethan Doull hopes to make a return to action, whilst Keith Chesher hopes to be in attendance as well. The National Hot Rods can provide scintillating racing, with just millimetres between the drivers as they race door to door, and wheel to wheel!

The Rookie Bangers join us for the third time in 2025, with drivers from throughout England and Scotland set to be in attendance. It is promising to see a number of Scottish drivers join the formula, and add to the numbers, whilst welcoming some southern regulars. With attendance, entertainer points, and race points on offer, it could be an exciting event from the Rookie Banger formula.

The ORCi Ministox complete the line up, with Northern Irish driver Casey Lee set to join us. National Points Champion David Philp had an excellent meeting at Aldershot last Sunday, taking two wins and a runners up spot for his efforts, whilst Shaun Boyle scored well at the northerly Crimond Raceway. Here at Lochgelly, we’ve seen some excellent racing from the youngsters – Stuart Shevill and Jayden Roff getting in amongst the results, whilst Bailey Wilson has also been difficult to overcome. Lana Middler and Charlie Weston have both looked to be finding their feet in the formula, and are both proving difficult to catch from the front too.

A reminder, we have 50 50 TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

A reminder, motorsport can be dangerous. Please stay clear of the catch fence during racing, be observant throughout the event and keep all children accompanied at all times. All attendee’s are requested to drive with care whilst arriving and leaving the venue. Pedestrians and horse riders are a regular feature on the access road. Please give them room and respect.
