Racing Facts & Insights
Career History
I got the chance to have a shot of a friends car at the beginning of the 2025 fixture list. I loved it. And decided I had to have my own. Have been at it all 2025 season and enjoyed it. We will start 2026 in a new car and try our best to get better.
What is involved in the run up to an event, and what emotions are involved
I usually spend at least 5 hours minimum on the car before a letting. Unless there’s a lot of damage or jobs to be done again.
Memories of first race
I remember and it will always stick with me. I hit the stranded car of 81 baillie glencross and managed to do a roll up the back straight. There was a lot of damage to say the least.
Career highs and lows
I had a great nights racing in the 1st ever run of the CCRod British championship. Both racing car was getting better and better and we were managing to get quicker. Final race and was leading the whole race until 2 laps to go. Finishing the race in 3rd but because of a silly race incident with the 207 car I was disqualified from the results.
Ambitions & would like to achieve
To just have fun and give the spectators a laugh.
Alltime Favourite Driver
Has to be the massive #17 fastbob (Robert McDonald)
But also our very own team member #142 James Mooney
The Most Memorable Race Remembered?
2018 National hotrod National championships when #844 Billy bonnar started 4th on the grid. Seeing my little boy sitting on the roof on parade lap and all excited about the race. Bad luck struck on lap 5 and ended his race with damage.
Thanks & Sponsors Shout Out
Have to say my team. Everyone of them. I wouldn’t be on track if it wasn’t for them. They all know who they are.
