Why Stock Car Racing?
My grandpa originally raced saloons back in his younger days so it's always been in the blood, my dad raced ministox then onto hotrods and both my uncles raced ministox and banger/saloons so I've always wanted to be on the other side of the fence taking part since I was born

Why People Should Attend Stock Car Racing Events?
There's always some form of action on the track and the drivers are all friendly and willing to take time to speak to the kids and let them climb in the cars to hopefully bring the next generation into the sport

The Day Job & any other hobbies?
I'm a time served electrician but now in a garage as a mechanic/MOT tester, no other hobbies, no time now the kids have their own hobbies and Brodie now having his ninja takes up all the time I have

Racing Facts & Insights

Career History
I originally started racing at 14 in the junior class at autograss, moved to mens classes and eventually won the stock hatch national championship which is the equivalent of the world championship in the stock car world.

What is involved in the run up to an event, and what emotions are involved
The build up to race days is always busy, to many nights in the garage to go out and try for that win but in my case it usually never goes well. On race days I never eat anything until after the last race as the nerves are there as soon as I wake up, it's even worse on championship days

Memories of first race
First race, off the back of the grid and surprising myself at how I went, that's about all of it

Career highs and lows
Winning the Scottish has been the biggest thing I've done and it's by far the best feeling I've ever had racing a car following in the footsteps of my dad with him being Scottish champion in a ministox many years ago, ever since then it's went downhill but hoping it's about to change

Ambitions & would like to achieve
Id love another championship win but to just get back at it and enjoying it again is first on the agenda

Alltime Favourite Driver
Gordon moodie has to be the one, to be as dominant/consistent as he has been for as long as he has been takes so much talent and commitment

The Most Memorable Race Remembered?
The Scottish championship I won is the most memorable, can run each lap from memory

Thanks & Sponsors Shout Out
Thanks to everyone who makes it happen, from the track staff, family and friends, it wouldn't be possible without them all
