June Speed Weekend
Added by kevin_mcqueen on Wednesday 8th May
The 2024 June Speed Weekend is fast approaching here at Lochgelly Raceway, with not 1, but 2 major championships up for grabs over the weekend - plus the annual trip north for the American Cup Car Racing formulas, as they battle it out for their Scottish Championships.
The Superstox contest their A1 Containers R Us British Championship on the Saturday night, whilst the 2.0 Hot Rods race for their own British Championship on the Sunday afternoon - following a set of qualifying heats on the Saturday night.
Drivers are now requested to contact us to notify us of their intention to participate across the weekend - for all formula in action. Drivers can use the booking form on the website, or by sending us a message or WhatsApp to 07584837445.
Paid practice is also available on the Friday afternoon - 12-4pm, at a cost of £50 per driver - open to all formula participating across the weekend. Drivers are asked to send us a message to advise of their attendance for this as well.

Booking In Timescales
Added by kevin_mcqueen on Monday 18th March
Following on from the late cancellation of the Classic Hot Rods from the event on the 16th March, and the extremely late notice that was given to a replacement formula, Hardie Race Promotions has taken the decision to change the deadline for bookings.
Drivers are now required to book in by no later than 9am on the Thursday before any Saturday events. This will give the promotion the opportunity to make a change to the schedule if required, with a bit more time for a replacement formula to be readied. If insufficient bookings are made by the 9am deadline, than a replacement formula may be sought. National Hot Rods booking process will remain as is, in line with the NHRPA regulations.
In normal circumstances, any driver booking in after this time will be treated as a late booking. Any drivers recorded as a late booking will be required to start from the rear of their grade all night. Any driver that does not book will be required to start from the rear of the grid. This is for all formulas excluding National Hot Rods who have their own booking process with the NHRPA, and Bangers, who do not run graded races.
Drivers can book in for our events through WhatsApp 07584837445 or through our website, www.hardieracepromotions.co.uk
If you intend to race, please do so by 9am on a Thursday morning.
Points Update
Added by kevin_mcqueen on Wednesday 13th March
Following on from discussions, Hardie Race Promotions have taken the decision to change the way that points are given for the following formulas; Stock Rods, 2.0 Hot Rods & Ninja Karts.
Historically, we have given points to drivers travelling to championship events at other promotions, however, after considering driver input and to ensure fairness and consistency across the board, a decision has been made not to award National Points for away events, or for championship events, in line with Spedeworth Motorsports. This is in part due to the number of drivers able to attend certain championship events due to restricted allocations. However, given that the above listed formulas are already into a National Points campaign, these changes will come into effect after the cut off for the respective World Championship events, where points will be reset.
With Ninja Karts, the National Points system will now also run World final to World final, with a cut off approx. 1 month before the date of the World Championship race. This in effect, will mean that points scored from the World Final in 2023, until the World Final 2024 will determine the 2023-24 National Points Champion. A track championship will now also run, which will be for the calendar year Jan – Dec.

We are pleased to confirm, that a date has been set, with the Vans set to take to the track once more on Saturday 15th June. The size limit for this event will be any van with a single wheel rear axle.
Our fixture list on our website, and meeting start time has been updated as a result.
