New For 2024

2024 will see qualifying for the 2024 National Micro Banger World Cup take a new format.

There will still be seeded allocations from each ORCi promotion, as well as a last chance event on the night, however, there will also be an all new qualifying series taking place throughout the 2024 season, giving drivers even more opportunities to stake there place in the Fife Medical Group Micro Banger World Cup grid!

Saturday 25th May will see the first of 3 qualifying rounds take place.
Round 2 will take place on Saturday 29th June and
Round 3 will take place on Saturday 14th September.

There will be 9 seeded places up for grabs between across the three rounds. Each round will have the top points scorer win a wildcard seeded entry into the World Cup itself, accounting for 3 of the seeded places. A further 5 seeded places will go to the top 5 point scorers from a combination of the three qualifying rounds, who have not yet secured a seed. However, to be eligible for a seeded place through the points qualification, drivers must participate in at least 2 of the 3 qualifying events. The final qualifying seeded entry will go to the DD Championship winner at our event on the 29th June, with the DD Championship winner also taking away a healthy prize fund.

Drivers will score points for
- 10 points for booking in and participating at the meeting
- 5 points for turning up without booking in
- 10-1 for each of the 3 races at each meeting
- 5 points for the best presented car at each event
- 5 points for partipating in the DD at each event (Subject to drivers participating in DD)
- 15 points for a DD win at each event (Subject to drivers doing a DD)
- 5 points for event entertainer across the 3 races.

In addition to these wildcard places, seeded allocations will be sent to the ORCi National Banger Promotors in September.

There will also be a last chance race on the night, where it is anticipated that 6 drivers will qualifying from that race to form a grid no smaller than 40 cars.

A grid draw will be conducted as the drivers enter the track (TBC) to determine their starting positions, with the last chance drivers starting at the rear.

The Scottish Open on the Sunday will be open to all available cars.
