It was an action packed night of racing, with the U Pull It 1300 Stock Cars providing some excellent racing, with a number of incidents throughout the night. The ProStocks provided more eventful racing, whilst the Ninja Karts and 2.0 Hot Rods both also put on an excellent show.

It was a bit of a stop start night, interrupted by yellow flags as cars needed recovered from the raceway throughout the evening. The Ninja Karts were the first formula in action with the whites and yellows race being the first race of the night – which was duly won by Birthday Girl, Sophia Allan. Jamie Balfour and Mathew McIntyre completed the top 3. Heat 1 for the Ninja Karts was a quick race, which seen the star graded drivers move up through the pack quickly. English visitor, Thomas Wilkins on his track debut, looked to be quick as he raced to victory in the opening race. A coming together between Rory Wilson and Jayden Jeffrey seen Wilson penalized and docked a couple of places for his part in the incident. Tommy Melrose and Katie Lee Smart took 2nd and 3rd places. Wilkins too another victory in the 2nd heat, as he once more found great pace from the blue grade, which seen him move up to red grade in the meeting final. Rory Wilson finished in 2nd, just behind Wilkins after an epic battle up front. Jeffrey, Wilkins and Wilson all raced extremely close for a number of laps, with Jeffrey leading the way. Jeffrey would go around a back marker on the outside, whilst Wilkins went inside, and Jeffrey came across unsighted, resulting in contact with the 190 Wilkins kart, which send Jeffrey into a spin and down the order. Wilson would take 2nd place, with Melrose in 3rd. The meeting final seen Tommy Melrose drive a blinder, as he stormed to a dominant victory by almost half a lap from 2nd place. Rayah Burns and Jayden Jeffrey completed the top 3. There was a debut of Alfie Campbell who successfully passed his test on the night, with the youngster enjoying his first outing.

The U Pull It 1300 Stock Cars seen Gary Nicholls in excellent form, as he raced to a win in each of the 2 heats, and a 3rd place in the meeting final from red grade. Regan Watson continued his impressive start to the 2024 campaign with a win in the meeting final. The 1300 Stock Cars entertained throughout the night, with lots of hard hitting metal crunching racing. An ongoing battle between Steven Gold, Michael Courts and Bobby Gold seen the trio come to blows on several occasions throughout the night, all giving as good as they got, with a few bumpers replaced on the night! Michael Moyes was out in the Bryce Kempson car, but will be wishing he stayed on the spectator side of the fence, as he found himself collected at the end of the home straight by the oncoming pack of cars. A fair bit of damage and a dazed driver seen the race halted, with Callum Sturrock also suffering as a result of the impact.

The ProStocks once more delivered some great racing, Hollie Ritchie would be cursing her luck though, as she looked set to take at least 2 victories had it not been for yellow flags – having been about half a lap clear in 2 of the races before stoppages closed the pack up. Paul Barron continued his great start to the season with another race win, but it wouldn’t get any better – a DNF in one race following a coming together with John Mason and Grady Ross, and a DQ in the meeting final due to a failed silencer. Dougie Kidd would be the driver to maximise his haul as a result, as he took away a heat and final double.

The 2.0 Hot Rods were the final formula in attendance, with Chevy Mills once more making the trip to be with us. Mills took the race victory in the opening heat, whilst Scottish Champion Keith Brown took victory in the heat and final.
