Saturday 12th November seen another great display of racing from the formula in action, whilst the 2 seater experiences and ladies race raised over £5,000 towards great causes!

The evening started off with a round of 2 seater experiences, where our dedicated team of drivers gave lots of passengers a thrilling experience on track – for many, this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity. More passenger experiences would take place throughout the main event, with all funds raised going towards the nominated causes. We would like to go on record of thanking the following drivers and teams for giving up their time and using their cars to ensure the event took place – Steven Armit, Keith Chesher, Craig Mason, Ciaran Adams, Shaz Law, Brandon Gourlay, Stewart Aitken, Ian Christie, Keiron McIntyre, James Dickie, Brian Allen, Mirran Adams and Robert Conway – and to those that helped out with organizing passengers on the day.

The ladies race kicked off the first of the competitive races, and there was no shortage of action – Loren Hamilton managing to get her car up onto the grass banking on the infield, whilst Katie Grealis felt the force of the wall. Shaz Law took victory, but there were great performances put in by all the ladies on the track – all for a great cause. Many thanks to all that participated and loaned out their cars – helping raise a great deal of money in the process.

The youngsters in the Ministox found themselves with 20+ cars taking to the track in the final outing of the season – with some, it being their final outing in a Ministox before moving on in the coming months. Sam Cavanagh took victory in the opening race of the night, but a coming together between Robbie Armit and Jake Wilson was the talking point, with the pair coming to blows on the first of a couple of incidents on the night between them. Jay Carruthers put in an excellent performance on the night, taking away a second place finish behind Cavanagh, with Lewis Burgoyne completing the top three in the opening heat. Heat 2 seen a number of stoppages throughout the race, with a couple of drivers requiring some assistance as a result. Rachel Kidd would be the driver that would take victory in the second heat, with Burgoyne finishing second ahead of Charlie Hardie. The meeting final was another rough race for the youngsters, with a number of incidents throughout the race – Cole Ford took a dull hit as he went in backwards on turn 1, whilst Chelsey Stewart took a knock on turn 4. Robbie Armit and Jake Wilson continued their feud, with Armit forcing Wilson to the wall during the race. Jamie Dawson would come out on top and take victory, with Jay Carruthers and Rian Mitchell rounding out the top three. The evening would see Robbie Armit claim the Lochgelly Track Championship.

The ProStocks were in a pretty destructive form, with a few cars looking a little worse for wear as the evening progressed, with car numbers dropping throughout the night as a result. Becki Ritchie and Ian Christie had a couple of coming togethers throughout the opening two heats, with neither driver making it out on track in the meeting final. Ritchie found herself on the wrong side of the steward in the opening heat too – finding herself disqualified for a perceived infringement as the cars crossed the line. Graeme Fleming took victory in heat 1 ahead of Mark Boyle and Callum McIvor. Heat 2 seen only 4 cars complete the distance, with Scott Gardner taking yet another race win. The meeting final seen Dylan Anderson take victory in the Darren Rae car, with Fleming and Robert Conway completing the top three.

The Micro Bangers participated in a team event, and set about entertaining from the first race of the night. The bumpers went in, and a few wrecking trains later, we were down to less than half a dozen cars completing race distance in the final race of the evening! Team tactics were evident throughout the night, with a few drivers looking to ‘stop’ the opposition, whilst allowing other members of their team to race to victory. Team BART-1 would be the team to come out on top, with good results for their drivers in each of the three races.

The caravan carnage event completed the evening, with a haze of destruction left on the track afterwards! A head on at the end of the race would see the drivers delighted with their efforts, much to the delight of the onlooking crowd!

That’s it from us until after Christmas. We have one final meeting in 2022, taking place on Friday 30th December, with the Unlimited Banger Scottish Championship taking centre stage. The 1600 Rookie Bangers, 1300 Stock Cars and Junior Productions all also feature.
