This Saturday night at Lochgelly Raceway, we have another entertaining event lined up. This meeting will now start at 5.30pm

The National Hot Rods make their return to action following their World Championship at Ipswich at the beginning of the month, where there were a lot of good results for the Scottish based drivers. The road to World Final qualification starts again this weekend, with 12 rounds taking place between now and July next year. William Hardie won the Scottish points series having overcame Ross McWilliam at the final event, although, there will be a lot of competition in this years series. Gordon Alexander was arguably the form driver in the latter part of the campaign, having missed a number of rounds early on due to injury. Darren Scott, Doug McLean and Marc Spence all looked to be on the pace as well throughout, and will all be looking to score World Final qualification come July next year. The pinnacle of the non-contact formula will provide lots of fast, close and exciting racing throughout the season, and we can’t wait for the campaign to get underway, this weekend!!!

The ProStocks have been in good form of late – with good car numbers at each of our last few meetings, and we anticipate, that this weekend will be much the same – mid to high teens are expected, which for the ProStock formula, is a good turnout, and enough to provide high drama, high entertainment racing. The nudge and spin formula can often throw up unexpected chaos, and great racing in the same race! Scottish Champion Robert Conway will be looking to make some more headway in the points championships, with Ryan Martin currently leading the ProStock National Points. Graeme Fleming was in commanding form last time out – and he’ll be hoping that his car performs as it did then this weekend too, as he hopes for some more race wins, albeit, this time from red grade. John Mason is the most experienced driver on the grid, having raced the ProStock formula for as long as many of us can remember. Mason will be looking to keep out of trouble, and be lurking in the winds awaiting mistakes and errors from those ahead as he looks to take advantage of opportunities arising.

The Junior Productions are back with us for the second week in succession, and thankfully, there wasn’t too much damage at the British Championship last weekend where most drivers drove superbly and showed good respect to each other. Jase Walle has closed the gap at the top of the points charts, and will be looking to overcome the Koddi Wright car to move to the top of the table. Behind those two, there is very little between much of the drivers – with around 10 points separating the next 7-8 drivers! A couple of formula debut’s are expected this weekend too – Rachel Kidd and Kenzie Kopacz are both hoping to be out on track with us, as the formula continues to attract good fields of cars.

The Superstox are the final formula in attendance, and are the headline attraction as they race for their Lochgelly Masters – sponsored by the legends that is Mick Taylor. Mick Taylor put up a shield a couple of seasons ago for the formula to race for, and has continued to support it since, with Mick himself looking to entertain throughout the night in the formula – we may even see some donuts from the 426 car after the meeting final!! Two graded races will see the points accrued from the two qualifying heats to give the grid for the Lochgelly Masters – The race will be gridded in grade order, but closed with those with the highest points at the front of their grade. Bryan Forrest won the title in 2022, but having moved on from the formula, we will see someone else reign victorious in 2023. Ciaran Adams, Jack Turbitt and Dean Johnston have all been in the mix for success throughout the season, and will likely start as some of the favourites. However, Lee Livingston, Kenny McKenzie and the likes are all more than capable of being at the front. Mirran Adams continues to improve in the formula, and she herself will be looking for some more points finishes this weekend. We welcome 252 Gary Chisolm, who makes the trip from England to be with us once more at Lochgelly Raceway.

The racing gets underway at 6pm – be sure to join us, and of course, bring a friend too!

Spectator gates will open at 2.45pm, with drivers sign in opening at 2.00pm.
