Saturday 18th October see’s us move into final four meetings of the 2025 season with plenty still to race for. Saturday 18th will see five formula take to the track as the Scrapco Metal Recycling Ninja Karts race in their annual Autism Awareness event with M90 Motorsport. Alongside the Ninja Karts, we have the National Hot Rods, Superstox, CC Rods and ProStocks – an exciting mix of formula with great contact and non-contact racing to look forward too.
The Scrapco Metal Recycling Ninja Karts welcome a few visiting drivers this weekend with English visitors, Riley Stagg, George White and Jaxon Stone set to be in attendance. 7 Rory Wilson claimed the Autism Awareness win in 2024 and will be looking to come out on top once more. Henry Hunn has proven himself to be a front running driver both domestically and on the road this year, as he chases the points championships too – Hunn has been a regular race winner this year and has had some epic races along the way. Jayden Jeffrey has been at the top end over the last couple of seasons, though, of late, Jeffrey has found a run of bad luck that has seen him pick up damage and having to use his spare kart. Jeffrey can never be ruled out though, as on his day, the youngster is as quick as anyone. Christopher Lattka, Ryan Love and Alfie Shevill have all been at the forefront of things this season, whilst Blair Innes has also proven that he has the ability to compete for race wins too. The Ninja Kart class is extremely competitive at the top end, whilst there is also an array of inexperienced drivers on the track which often throws a few hair-raising moments as the front runners chose a way to go round them.
The Superstox have had a mixed year with numbers fluctuating on a regular basis – and although numbers are generally up on previous years, unfortunately we’ve seen a few drivers having to miss a few meetings due to clashing events. That said though, the racing has been exciting with lots of different race winners. Danny Whyte has found his feet in the formula and has been racing for race wins regularly over the last couple of months. Craig Stephen has been one to watch from the moment he stepped foot in the Superstox formula – He has the pace and isn’t afraid to use the bumper neither, and has certainly been one of the stars of the season. Bryan Forrest made a return to racing this season and has gradually adapted to his new car and once more, becoming one to watch. With car knowledge now known, Forrest will be one to watch in the last few meetings this year, and into 2026! Gary Chisolm has been a welcome, regular visiting driver at HRP Lochgelly Raceway this year. The 252 driver is always on the pace and has claimed multiple race wins throughout the season. Adam Low, Dylan Anderson and Mirran Adams will all also be in attendance looking to get some good points on the board.
The National Hot Rods are with us for the final time in 2025 – Although numbers can be better, the Nationals have provided some very close and exciting racing as the drivers looks to claim a place on the World Final grid in 2026. Gordon Alexander, Chevy Mills, Derek Connor and Ian Donaldson have all been in excellent form, whilst Barry Stephen continues to re-find his feet in the class and get onto the pace.
The CC Rods are with us for the second successive week, and with a few cars coming away slightly worse for wear after last weeks event, we are pleased to see the majority of cars back on track this weekend. Lee Scott and Robert Conway lead the points chart and it looks set to go all the way to the final meeting with just a handful of points between the pair. Alec Cunningham, Kevin Donaldson and Ian Donaldson have all regularly taken points away from the lead pair. This trio have all been front running drivers throughout the season, but all have missed a few meetings along the way which has seen them drop out of contention. The entry level non-contact formula often provides great close racing, mixed with a few ‘yikes’ moments.
The ProStocks complete the line up, and once more will be looking to entertain. The formula has provided lots of great racing throughout the season with excellent car numbers. There are always new drivers entering the class too, and this bodes well for 2026 for the ProStock formula. Paul Barron has been in great form of late as he looks to claim the track and national points.
