Double Banger Action - 21st March Double Banger Action - 21st March
For the first time in 2026 we have TWO banger formula in attendance on Saturday 21st March as the Micro Bangers and Junior Bangers both make their season debuts. They are joined on track by the Junior Productions, Superstox and Stock Rods.

The Superstox are with us for the second time this season and are set to bring some exciting open wheel stock car racing to the track. This Saturday, we are pleased to welcome Annette Turner Book Keeping on board as meeting sponsor, with some good trophies up for grabs for the drivers in the meeting final. Danny Whyte is set to make his first appearance of the year having missed out last time due to a holiday clash. Regular visitor, Gary Chisolm is set to make the trip north as he looks to dial in his new car around Lochgelly Raceway. Bryan Forrest, Aaron Riddell and Adam Low all provided some great racing last time out, and the trio will be looking to put in a good display once more. Jordan Black looked to hit the ground running last time out with good pace throughout the meeting having sat out the 2025 season. We might see Kenny McKenzie make his season debut too with a new to him car.

The National Micro Bangers compete in round 1 of the Fife Medical Group Micro Banger World Cup qualifying series, with the top scoring driver on the night claiming a place as a seeded entrant in the World Cup come October. This will be the case at each of our four rounds, with a further five drivers making it onto the grid as seeded entries through the collated points chart. A £1,000 prize fund is up for grabs for the series too, in addition to substantial prize money at each of the four rounds. Points are awarded to drivers for racing, entertaining, booking in and participating in & winning our end of night demolition derby. It’s good to have a mix of both Scottish and English based drivers currently booked in, with more expected – the more that book in and participate, the bigger the prize fund will be for the drivers at the event!

The Stock Rods have started the season excellently with plenty of very close and competitive racing with no single driver looking like dominating proceedings. There has already been various race winners at our 2 previous meetings, and there is nothing between much of the pack. This has allowed for lots of door to door combat, and bumper to bumper action, as drivers look to pounce on any mistake their rivals make. There is no room for error and patience is a commodity that the drivers must have if they hope to be successful – otherwise, things can go wrong quickly and spectacularly. The non-contact class is one to watch, and we are certain that the formula will once more deliver fast, close and exciting racing this Saturday night.

The Junior Productions are the first of 2 junior formula in attendance this weekend, and this lot should be providing exciting non-contact racing. With a wide ranging experience on track, there are often a few hair raising moments as the more experienced drivers navigate the way around the oval whilst trying to keep challengers at bay in the process – The drivers need to be alert and focused at all times, and last time out, the formula was just that with very little in the way of incidents, but plenty of close and exciting racing. Leeland Dearn took two race wins last time out and will be starting a grade further back this weekend as a result. Leeland will be full of confidence going into this Saturday night, as he looks to build on his excellent start to the season.

The Junior Bangers are with us for the first of several meetings this season, and they are a formula that we are excited to have on the roster at Hardie Race Promotions. The junior banger formula quite often provide action packed, exciting racing up and down the country. Although follow ins aren’t permitted in this class, they often provide plenty of action, rollovers, and good contact racing. It was great to be able to confirm a Scottish series for the formula last week which should give the Scottish based drivers something to race for without the need for travelling extensively to score some points. We do have a couple of southern visitors joining us this weekend, with a couple of Spedeworth based drivers making the trip up.

We hope that you enjoy your visit with us at HRP Lochgelly Raceway. Pick up a fixture list at the main reception to see what we have in store for the rest of the season.

A reminder, we have 50 50 TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

A reminder, motorsport can be dangerous. Please stay clear of the catch fence during racing, be observant throughout the event and keep all children accompanied at all times. All attendee’s are requested to drive with care whilst arriving and leaving the venue. Pedestrians and horse riders are a regular feature on the access road. Please give them room and respect.
