It is almost time for our
ππππππ πππππ ππππππππππππ πππππ.This weekend, the on track action steps up to the next level with the top drivers from the Supersox and Stock Rod formula joining us as they battle it out for their respective,
ππππ πππππ πππππππππππππ.The Superstox and Stock Rods both race for their respective World Championships, whilst across the weekend we also have a few other roof title bearing championships up for grabsβthe Superstox Internations Championship, Super Twos European Championship and Junior Super Twos European Championship.
The Superstox ASD Racing Products World Championship will take place on the Saturday night with the grid being formed by the final positions in the promotions respective National Points Charts, with the drivers drawing against each other. For example, the three National Points Champions (P1) will draw against each other for positions 1, 2 and 3 on the grid. Previous stagings of the World Championship at Lochgelly Raceway have produced lots of memorable racing, hard hitting action and dramatic moments. We highly anticipate that the 2026 staging will be another mouthwatering event with the top drivers from throughout the UK and Ireland joining us for the weekend. Can one of the front drivers survive the big push coming from down the grid, or will we see someone from the back end of the grid make a sterling drive to come through and win? Anything is possible with hard hitting open wheel stock car racing.
The Stock Rods last raced for the World Championship at Lochgelly a few years ago, and it was a spectacular weekend of racing, with the World Championship being a fantastic race! A mid-race engine blow up seen the track surface become slippery, and really challenged the drivers. It did give a fantastic race as drivers chose different lines around the raceway as they looked to make gains, with the race going right to the wire. The Stock Rods have delivered some great racing domestically over the last few years, with a number of the major championshipβs currently being held by Scottish based drivers. Reigning World Champion, John Smith is looking to make it three in a row, but will have 30+ other drivers all looking to take the World Championship away from him. The racing is always competitive around Lochgelly, offering plenty of bumper to bumper and door to door racing.
The Super Twoβs and Junior Super Twos join us for the weekend, having made their Lochgelly debut in 2025. Last year the formula produced highly entertaining racing, with good car numbers and plenty of on track action. With the inaugural staging of the European Championshipβs, we are certain to see some exciting on track racing from the formulaβs. Both the Seniors and Juniors classes run the same cars, with restricted development available on them to keep the cars as identical as possible, leaving a lot up to the driver themselves.
The U Pull It 1400 Stock Cars complete the line up this weekend, and it is pleasing to see a few visiting drivers join us as the Lochgelly Masters is raced for over the two days. Early indications are that we should have around 25 drivers take to the track - enough to provide a weekend full of hard hitting, metal crunching action.
Whilst on-site over the weekend, please respect the venue and ensure that you remain within the boundaries of the spectator areas. If you have any issues, please report it to a member of the team and we will do our utmost to assist.
Bring your friends, bring your family and have a fantastic night out at HRP Lochgelly Raceway!
