CC Rod British Up For Grabs CC Rod British Up For Grabs
We are back for an action packed night of stock car action at Lochgelly Raceway. Feel the wind as the cars race by just metres away, feel the earth vibrate beneath your feet as the engines roar passed. It’s a must see event for any motorsport fan!

Before the first race gets underway, we will welcome Robbie Armit to the track as he shows off his recent Inter-Nations Cup win - Armit won the fiirst ever staging of the title at Ipswich at the start of July and will add the red and white checkered roof to his existing European Championship.

Saturday 26th July will see the CC Rod formula race in their first ever British Championship event – kindly sponsored by AC Roads & Driveways. The CC Rods have been in excellent form in 2025 with lots of close and extremely competitive racing. The drivers have participated in qualifying rounds throughout the season to form the grid for this event, and it promises to be exciting with the front few rows consisting of the likes of Robert Conway, Lee Scott, Baillie Glencross, Alec Cunningham, Kenny Pitcaithly and Alun Gregory! The drivers will have spent a few hours in the garage in the build up to this event as they all look to ensure that they have done everything they can to give themselves the best opportunity of success! Door to door and bumper to bumper racing is expected in what could be a race NOT TO BE MISSED! Thanks to AC Roads and Driveways for the British Championship sponsorship.

The Rookie Bangers join us for the final time ahead of their Scottish Championship at the end of August, and it is good to see a few Scottish drivers booked to participate in amongst a few southern based drivers. The Rookies have a large number of meetings throughout the country on a regular basis, with plenty of options for drivers on a week to week basis. The Scottish contingent of drivers have all put in a good showing this year, with Ryan Martin, Paul Barron, Kurtis McQuade and Jamie George all becoming regulars in the formula. The drivers are chasing a place in the Rookie World Final in November, so all points are valuable at every meeting.

The Stock Rods are with us in domestic action, with an array of championship events happening around the country in the coming weeks. Daniel Davidson went excellently at his first outing a few weeks back, and will be one to watch out for on Saturday. Robbie Armit won the Inter-Nations cup at Ipswich at the beginning of July and will be keen to show off that roof on Saturday night. The Stock Rod formula provide close and competitive racing on a weekly basis, providing some of the best non-contact racing around.

The ProStocks have been in excellent form in 2025, with no shortage of on track action, and lots of different race winners. Here at Lochgelly, we’ve seen 11 different race winners across the course of the season so far, with Dougie Kidd picking up the Scottish Championship last time out just before the summer break. Dean McGill hopes to be back out after suffering some damage last time out, and will be keen to get back to winning ways. Rachel Kidd has had a strong season in the formula so far – picking up a lot of good results in the process. The formula are a nudge and spin formula and is prone to providing plenty of action, with a few tit for tat battles along the way!

The Superstox complete the line up of formula in attendance. The British Championship at Ipswich was a heavy affair with quite a lot of damage for some drivers, with a few scrambling to get cars ready for this weekend. With a few missing, it will give the opportunity to a few others to step up and battle it out for the winners spot in each of the three races, and this could allow for some intriguing racing as the drivers all fancy there chances of success.

A reminder, we have 50 50 TICKETS AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

A reminder, motorsport can be dangerous. Please stay clear of the catch fence during racing, be observant throughout the event and keep all children accompanied at all times. All attendee’s are requested to drive with care whilst arriving and leaving the venue. Pedestrians and horse riders are a regular feature on the access road. Please give them room and respect.
