Saturday 19th April Saturday 19th April Saturday 19th April
Saturday 19th April at Lochgelly Raceway will see plenty of great racing, thrills and spills as the drivers across the formula, give lots to look forward too!

Stand just metres away from the action, and feel the wind as the cars race by - feel the vibrations beneath your feet. It's a must see for any motorsport enthusiast!

The Superstox are with us for the second week in succession, with the meeting being sponsored by Annette Turner Book Keeping. Gary Chisolm makes the trip north to be with us once more. Chisolm was with us a few meetings back and got quicker with each passing race, and was tentatively close to claiming the meeting final win – with the European Championship here in June, Chizzy will be looking to get his setup spot on. Dave Lumsden was in exceptional form last weekend, taking 2 out of 3 race wins, which duly seen him move upto blue grade. Dave will be hoping to carry on such form into this weekend as he looks to put himself in the mix in amongst Adam Low, Aaron Riddell, Kenny McKenzie and Bryan Forrest. Craig Stephen is hoping to get down as he hopes to make his debut in the formula after some issues last weekend prevented him from attending.

The CC Rods have had a mixed start to the season – with numbers fluctuating at each event, leaving us not knowing what to expect! However, on the whole, the racing has been close, and competitive with no stand out driver in the early part of the season. Gregor Whyte, Lee Scott, Ian Donaldson, Alun Gregory and Ian Christie should all be with us this weekend, and they’ve all found themselves racing at the front end of the grid. Baillie Glencross has found her feet in the formula now too, and has picked up some good results this season as well, and will take some beating as she looks to make her car as wide as possible and not letting herself be bullied out the way. Kenny Pitcaithly has missed a couple of meetings, but has also shown that he has the ability to battle for the podium places where he has been in attendance, and will no doubt fancy his chances for another good haul of points.

The ORCi Ministox never fail to disappoint, with hard, fast and action packed racing at almost every event. The youngsters were in great numbers last time out, as the likes of Jayden Roff, Stuart Shevill & Jack Jones put in some strong displays – the former Ninja Kart drivers have all taken to the formula excellently, and are all looking like a force to be reckoned with, and will no doubt claim success in the years to come. Shevill Jnr has arguably been the top performing driver at Lochgelly so far – pushing National Points Champion David Philp all the way. Philp himself hasn’t been no slouch, but has run into a few gremlins in the early part of the season which he’ll be hoping to have overcame as he sets about chasing another championship winning season. Shaun Boyle and Dougie Kidd have both been in the top few places this season too. Boyle has grown resilient over the last year or so, and won’t be forced out the way without a fight, and will give it back where the opportunity arises. Charlie Weston made the trip north to be with us a couple of weeks ago, but an engine issue in practice seen him failing to race. He’ll be hoping for a more worthwhile trip this weekend.

The National Hot Rods join us once more, and things are looking close in the points charts. Gordon Alexander currently leads the way, with Derek Connor, James Robertson, Ian Donaldson and Ross McWilliam all looking to chase the top 3 places for a place in the World Championship. McWilliam, Donaldson and Connor have all taken hat-tricks of race wins in 2025 already – can one of them do it again, or will one of the other drivers step up and claim a hat trick and continue the trend? The DPC National Hot Rod European Championship takes place in just a few weeks time over the 10th and 11th May here at HRP Lochgelly Raceway.

The ProStocks are the final formula in attendance, and the formula has provided great racing over the last year or so with good car numbers, competitive action, and lots of on track dramas. The nudge and spin class isn’t always the most eye catching, but the racing has never really disappointed of late, and have become a formula of the must watch category. Grady Ross, Dean McGill, Becki Ritchie, Rachel Kidd, Paul Barron and the likes of Ryan Martin have all looked quick this season, with McGill taking a hat-trick of race wins last time out here at Lochgelly. Ian Christie will be looking for a change of luck having set the quickest lap times regularly this season, but has not had much luck go his way with the results not always reflecting his pace! Ina in fact currently has the quickest lap time of the season.

The action gets underway at 5.30pm.
