The 2025 National Micro Banger World Cup takes place over the weekend of 11th and 12th October and it promises to be spectacular.
A prize fund in excess of £2,000 is available across the weekend, and we are giving away prizes for the top 3 in each race, £100 to the best presented car in the World Cup, £300 the end of weekend DD winner, £25 for every driver that actively participates in the DD, and £50 entertainer awards throughout the weekend where we think someone has stood out and entertained the crowd - capped at a maximum of 1 driver per race. It should be an entertaining weekend from start to finish, and with around 60 bangers expected, it could be carnage!!
Driver Booking ProcessDrivers can book in for all formula via any of the following methods;
- Our website, https://www.hardieracepromotions.co.uk/pages/forms/book-to-race/
- Via Message / WhatsApp / Calling 07584837445.
It is the final speed weekend of the 2025 season at HRP Lochgelly Raceway, and it is set to be an enthralling weekend of on track action. Over 120 cars are booked to compete across the two days, with 60+ of those being bangers!
The pits will be full – the atmosphere will be electric as the drivers work on cars and spectators chat to their favourite drivers before the racing gets underway.
The National Micro Banger World Cup is arguably one of the biggest banger events on the calendar, annually getting a fantastic turn out of drivers from throughout the UK. Each promotion has seeded entries into the main grid, whilst our own World Cup Qualifying campaign seen several others claim their place on the grid. For those drivers that haven’t been seeded in, there is a last chance race on the Saturday afternoon for one final chance to get onto the main World Cup grid. There will be 8 drivers make the World Cup grid from the last chance race (more if any no shows from seeded drivers) to give a 40 car World Cup grid. Following on from the World Cup, there will be two all comer races on the Saturday, with the Scottish Open, 2 all comers and an end of weekend demolition derby.
The Junior Bangers are with us for their annual 2 day event at Lochgelly Raceway, and it is pleasing to see a good number of Scottish based drivers taking to the track as the formula grows in popularity north of the border.
The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars are in action over the two days as they race for their Lochgelly Masters. A few visiting drivers are expected to be with us, and we are confident that the ironed up stock cars will provide two excellent days of on track entertainment.
The Junior Productions have been excellent this year, and with just under 30 cars booked to race, we are sure that the youngsters will provide super close and competitive racing once more, with the Scottish Open and Fife Championship up for grabs over the weekend. We welcome a few Northern Ireland visitors over as they look to take the silverware back over the water!
The CC Rods join us on Sunday afternoon.
After each banger race, our recovery teams will park stricken vehicles in the area adjacent to the scrutineering shed, and once the track is cleared, we will relay these back to the teams race transporters. Drivers are asked to stay with their vehicles so that our recovery teams know where they are going.
A reminder, we have
