We are back in action at HRP Lochgelly Raceway for a night of fantastic, adrenaline fuelled stock car, hot rod and banger racing.
The Stock Rods take centre stage this weekend as they battle it out for their Scottish Championship. The Stock Rod formula has been highly competitive in 2025, with 10+ different race winners over the course of the season. Gary Dean is the reigning champion, and will be doing his best to make it three in a row. Teri Linden has consistently a front running driver this year, claiming several race wins this year and will fancy her chances of success. Dean McGill is one of the quickest drivers on track on his day, though is sometimes plagued by technical issues that has at times, hindered his progress. If everything goes smoothly for McGill, he’ll certainly be one of the front running drivers this weekend. Robbie Armit – the inter-nations cup champion has had a fantastic first couple of seasons in the Stock Rod having already claimed the European Championship as well. Armit will be aiming to score well in this heats to put himself in contention for the Scottish Championship. Kevin Stewart and Leon Stewart are hoping to make an outing as well all going to plan.
The Superstox are with us for the second week in succession, and will once more be looking to provide fierce, competitive stock car racing. The front bumpers are used regularly throughout each event, with most drivers giving as good as they receive. Benjamin Erskine has been finding confidence and has been putting the bumper in during recent events, whilst Josh Duff has powered on with old tyres for the majority of the season. Bryan Forrest will continue to optimise his new car to his liking as he gears up for an assault at the Scottish and World Championships in the not too distant future. Mirran Adams got caught up in the opening heat last weekend, but it didn’t phase her as she kept on going as well as she can, despite some damage to the car. She’ll be looking to have that fully sorted for this week, as she looks to put in another strong performance. Aaron Riddell make a return having missed out last weekend, whilst the lower graded drivers will be looking to score well in each of the races as they chase a tyre courtesy of RS Motors.
The CC Rods are back with us once more, and Alec Cunningham will be showing off the British Championship roof having claimed success last time out. Robert Conway has been a front running driver for much of the season and has matched Cunningham on a regular basis. Lee Scott likewise, has shown consistency throughout the year and once more finds himself battling it out for the points championship. Bryan Thomson has been improving with each passing meeting, and was unfortunate not to claim a win last time out – he’ll be chasing that win this weekend no doubt.
The National Hot Rods join us once more in Round 2 of their Scottish World Series. Craig McClaren hopes to make it out on track this weekend as does Chevy Mills. Ross McWilliam returns to action, whilst Derek Connor will be hoping to continue on from his impressive first round. Ian Donaldson hopes to be out on track too as he continues his push in the formula.
The Scrapco Metal Recycling Ninja Karts are the final formula in attendance this Saturday. The youngsters have provided some brilliant, close racing over the course of the season with some excellent battles. We welcome a number of visiting drivers this weekend, whilst Brodie Robertson hopes to make his debut having completed his junior test a couple of weeks ago.
The on track action will get underway at 5.15pm, with spectator gates opening at 2.45pm. Spectators can pay on arrival.
