Triple Championship Event
It’s a TRIPLE Championship event on Saturday 4th October at HRP Lochgelly Raceway with the Classic Hot Rods taking centre stage as they race for their Best in Britain Championship. The 2.0 Hot Rods and Scrapco Metal Recycling Ninja Karts both also race for their respective Scottish Championships. The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars and National Hot Rods complete the line up.

The Classic Hot Rods are a formula that everyone loves to see on track – a throwback to years gone by as these classics throw the cars around the raceway as quickly as they can. You’ll see extremely close, competitive action as the drivers chase the Best in Britain title. James Owen claimed the title in 2024 and will be defending it as he hopes to retain it for another 12 months. Two reverse grid heats will be formed as the drivers race draw for their opening heat grid position. The collated points from the two heats will be used to determine the grid for the 2025 BEST IN BRITAIN championship. Cameron Willacy, Gordon Naismith, Alfie Joynson, James Owen and Richard Dormer are just a few of the drivers that are set to battle it out!

The 2.0 Hot Rods have had a year of ups and downs with race meetings clashing with driver family and work commitments, but with the likes of Ryan Adamson, Ryan Mackie and William Hardie returning to the formula, things are looking on the up for the 2.0 class, and with the Scottish on the line this weekend – it could be anyones. Charlie Hardie has been the stand out driver this season having claimed the National Points Championship already, and is clear in the current track championship. Mark Dews has been unfortunate at times – suffering a lot of damage earlier in the season forcing him to miss out on a few meetings. Dews has been quick though upon his return and looks extremely comfortable in the ex Brown car. Allan Gibson suffered a lot of damage at Ipswich speed weekend, and has really only just got his own car sorted, having borrowed Jack MacLeod’s car last weekend. Craig Mason and Olivia Krzyzanowska have both came on leaps and bounds in 2025 and will both be hoping for good performances on Saturday.

The Scrapco Metal Recycling Ninja Karts have produced some superb racing this season. Numbers looked down somewhat at the start of the year, but with an influx of new drivers over the course of the season, numbers have picked up steadily, and many of these new drivers are now beginning to find their feet and score some good results. Rory Wilson is the reigning champion and will be doing his utmost to defend his title, that said, the field is certainly up there in being one of the most competitive that we have seen for numerous years. Henry Hunn, Jayden Jeffrey, Christopher Lattka, Alfie Shevill, Ryan Love and Alix Martin can all be take as serious challenges for the Scottish Championship given how well they have all performed over the course of the season. Expect some hair raising moments as these young pilots navigate there way around the Lochgelly oval!

The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars and National Hot Rods complete the line up, with the 1300 Stock Cars likely to provide some hard, full contact action!
