It’s another adrenaline fuelled night of high octane action at Lochgelly Raceway on Saturday 15th March, with five exciting formula taking to the track, with plenty to race for as well with prizes and points on offer throughout the event.

The Rookie Bangers make their first outing of the 2025 season, and following a strong 2024 season for the formula, we hope to once more, see some great on track action from the 1600 class. With the likes of Darren and Dayle Linton set to be in attendance, there will be plenty of entertainment with the Linton clan renowned for hard hitting action! We may also see a return to action for Craig Royal, a former points champion who sat out the 2024 season, should he get time to get a car ready for Saturday. Scottish Champion Daniel Croskell and points champion, Gavin Taylor are both set to join us once more, as is Danny McMullan. Ryan Martin and Douglas McConnachie are also booked to race, whilst Kai Johnson is set to make his second Rookie Banger outing having came out in a car last season. Charles Harrison, Lewis Walker, Billy Wilson and William Hardie should all also be on track – whilst Dylan Ward may also make an appearance. The rookies will see points scored for booking in and racing, in addition to points for each race, 20 entertainer points to the most entertaining driver over the course of the three races, DD participation points and a DD winner points!

The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars are back with us once more, and a few of the drivers are back racing on home tar having raced at Ipswich last weekend in the Best in Britain Championship. We had Jamie Stewart, Brant West, Charlie Henry and Joshua Machin head south, with all of them set to join us on Saturday night too. Fraser Clark and Darren Rae had some excellent battles last time out with the pair switching places and trading blows throughout the event ensuring many eyes were focused on their intriguing battles. Kai McNulty showed good pace last time out, and will be hoping for another strong performance on Saturday, whilst Craig Haxton looks to get his campaign underway. This event doubles up as round 1 of the SP Utilities series for the 1300 Stock Car, with the points tallied up from these meetings and the grades locked in for the purposes of series grade awards. With prizes on offer for the series, the drivers will be keen to get points on the board.

The CC Rods formula make their first outing of the season, with a the formula looking to make a strong start to the year with a good turnout of cars expected. The non-contact class have adopted the Spedeworth black flag rule for 2025, with any driver deemed to be worthy of a disqualification, missing out on the next race. Stewart Fleming and James Dickie are set to add to the ranks this weekend, with the majority of regular drivers from 2024 also set to be in attendance. Scottish Champion Alec Cunningham will be looking to start the season off quickly, whilst getting good points on the board in the battle to claim the first CC Rod British Championship. Ian Christie, Lee Scott, Robert Conway and the likes of Craig Mason will all also fancy there chances in this series, and will all be drivers to look out for! AC Roads and Driveways have sponsored the 2025 CC Rod British Championship, and have kindly put up a number of tyres as well – with a tyre going to the meeting final winner at each British Championship Qualifying Round, starting this Saturday. The CC Rods always provide exciting, yet unpredictable racing, and is a formula that promises to provide many close battles and exciting racing.

The 2.0 Hot Rods join us for the first event this season, and we welcome Andy Best and Jason Secker who are both joining us on Saturday as they look to get some valuable track time ahead of the World Championship in June. Keith Brown and Charlie Hardie are in a close fought battle as they both chase the National Points, which concludes 1 month before the World Final date, and it’s going to go right to the wire! Mark Dews makes a welcome return to the formula, whilst David Frame, Craig Mason and Jack MacLeod are all set to be in attendance – MacLeod having made the switch from the Stock Rod formula. Former Superstox driver Mark Brady might also have his car ready in time and is putting in a late push to do so. Olivia Krzyzanowska and her team are also putting in the hours to try and get her car ready for the first outing of the season on Saturday night.

The Junior Productions are the final formula in attendance, and are racing in round 1 of the GNR sponsored series. A tyre will be awarded to the meeting final winner and the top white or yellow graded driver courtesy of GNR Signs, with the points from the meeting accrued into a points chart too. Last time out for the Junior Productions, Scottish and Points Champion, Lewis Dickson made a perfect start to the season, racing to a hat-trick of race wins. There were other notable performances on the night too though, with Lee Moore, Caden Wotherspoon, Kenzie Kopacz and Nicole Innes all scoring well from the lower grades. The youngsters look set to produce a season worth of excellent racing with little between many of the drivers.
