Micro Banger DD Championship and Caravan Chaos Micro Banger DD Championship and Caravan Chaos
The final event of the first half of the season takes place on Saturday 29th June and it promises to be an entertaining affair with plenty of great racing, and all round entertainment throughout the evening.

The Micro Bangers compete in round 2 of their Micro Banger World Cup Qualifying Campaign, with 2 seeded places up for grabs on the night, as well as the points being accumulated from each round. The top point scorer on the night will claim one of the seeded places, whilst the DD Championship winner will walk away with a nice prize fund and a place in the 2024 Fife Medical Group Micro Banger World Cup. Around 15 Micro Bangers are currently booked to race, with a few more expected in the coming days.

The Micro Bangers will score points as per the follows for the event;

- 10 points for booking in and participating at the meeting
- 5 points for turning up without booking in
- 10-1 for each of the 3 races at each meeting
- 5 points for the best presented car
- 5 points for actively partipating in the DD
- 15 points for a DD win
- 5 points for best entertainer across the 3 races on the night.

The U Pull It 1300 Stock Cars have been entertaining throughout the season and are back with us once more. Michael Lithgow made his first outing last time out for the formula and looked quick – he’ll be looking to continue that form on Saturday as he looks to move up the grades in the coming months. Euan Mathieson is set to make a return to the class with a brand new built car as he looks to get some track time ahead of the UPI Sponsored World Championship here in August. Danny Whyte, Fraser Clark, Darren Rae, Jamie Stewart and the likes of Blair Robertson will be hoping to top up their points hauls as they aim to start as far up the World Championship grid as possible with only a couple of meetings left to score points at. The metal crunching, teeth shaking formula are certain to entertain with 20+ drivers once more booked to race.

The CC Rods feature with John Downs set to make his first outing of the season. A few drivers will be hoping for a change of luck, having been caught up in some incidents last time out. Baillie Glencross, Graham Pow and Garry Robert will be hoping to keep their noses clean as they look to get some more points on the board, whilst the likes of Ian Christie, Lee Scott and Kevin Hutchison will be charging hard to make up ground from further back the grid.

The ORCi Ministox are back with us once more - the formula has seen some excellent racing over the course of the season, and we expect more great racing this Saturday from the youngsters. Rachel and Dougie Kidd will race together in the formula for the last time, as Rachel moves on from the formula in just a couple of weeks time. Hamish Plenderleith suffered a lot of damage at Crimond last Sunday, but is hoping to be with us on Saturday. The youngster has been in great form this season so far, setting some great lap times, and coming away with some excellent results in the process.

The Caravan Bangers will round off the evening with their World Cup Grand Prix - a 5 lap race into a demolition derby. With almost 10 caravans expected to be on track, it will be entertaining and exciting, promising many laughs and and carnage from the outset. In order for drivers to be eligible for the race win, they must have their caravan trailer still attached, with the DD being the last car running at the end of the event! A note to all drivers, that you must ensure that your caravan is fully stripped, and that you have a mesh across the full front window of the car.

The drivers sign in office will open at 2.45pm, whilst practice will get underway at 3.40pm. The sign in office will close 30minutes before the first race. Thereafter, drivers must sign in from the main reception.

50 50 TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

Drivers are reminded that they are responsible for leaving a tidy pit area, utilizing the bins provided, or taking rubbish away with them. Any teams found to be leaving their pit area untidy, will be fined and possibly banned from attending race meetings.

The spectator gates will open at 3.15pm, with trackside parking only available on a first come first served basis. High sided vehicles are requested to park on the upper level, and the far end of the middle level, so not to obstruct views of those behind them.
