Saturday 28th September at Lochgelly Raceway. The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars are back in action for their biggest domestic meeting of the season as they race for the 2024 Scottish Championship.

Fraser Clark is the reigning Scottish Champion and he will be doing his utmost to defend the title that he proudly wears at the moment. A pre-race grid draw will determine the grid for the main event with the drivers pulling a number out the hat. The armoured hatch-back style cars never fail to disappoint and it will be an entertaining event with 30+ drivers currently booked to race. The bumpers will fly and scores may be settled. Some drivers may have work to do and play for cautions to close the field up depending on where they start on the grid. Jamie Stewart and Kai McNulty have had a few coming togethers this year, most recently at the last outing for the formula where McNulty laid one on Stewart. Gary Nicholls has the speed and racecraft to consider himself a front runner – but will his ‘kindness’ on track be his downfall? Craig Haxton can’t commit to every meeting these days, but when he is in attendance, he is always one of the quickest drivers. Haxton knows when to give a hit and has the experience to challenge this Saturday night. Steven Gold, Martin McCaffery, Danny Whyte, Sam Cavanagh and Jake Wilson are just a few of the contenders looking to add their name to the roll of honour.
It promises to be action packed and an event not to be missed!

The Ninja Karts are with us once more with competitive racing expected from the stars of the future once more. Jayden Jeffrey has been in good form of late and will be pushing on as he looks to make 2nd place in the track championship his own. Henry Hunn is his closest challenger who is also consistently scoring well. Rory Wilson will be looking to take further strides ahead at the top of the point chart, with only a few meetings remaining. Christopher Lattka and Ryan Love have both been scoring good points in the 2nd half of the season and both will be looking to continue that trend this weekend.

The National Hot Rods are with us in their latest World Qualifying Event. Gordon Alexander is hoping to be with us as he makes the switch into his new Spedeworth Fabrications Mazda Hot Rod. It’ll be the first Mazda to take to the track here in Scotland and we can’t wait to see it in the flesh and to see how it performs. Keith Chesher is set to make a return to National Hot Rod racing for the first time in over 10 years. Chesher makes the switch from the Classic Hot Rod so won’t entirely be rusty. Derek Connor should be out in his new car as well – and with a new number, having made the switch with the NHRPA to his more traditional 172. There may also be an outing for another driver in the spare Derek Connor car.

The CC Rods are with us for the first time since their Scottish Championship event, and have good numbers once more. Robert Conway is back in action in the CC Rod, with his ProStock currently out of action with damage. Kenny Pitcaithly will be hoping for a good run of it this weekend from his grade, having performed well from the rear of the grid in the Scottish Championship event. Ian Christie, Lee Scott and Gregor Whyte continue to lead the chase in the quest for the points championship.

The ProStocks are the final formula in attendance, and once more, are with us in good numbers with just under 20 cars booked to race. The nudge and spin formula have provided no end to entertaining racing this year, with many people seeing them as one of the best formula this year. That is a credit to the drivers turning up and supporting us here at Lochgelly, and showcasing excellent racing consistently. The racing can at times be ‘eventful’ with a few hiccups along the way, but on the most part, has been hard but fair. Paul Barron has been the stand out driver this year, scoring well throughout and taking a few wins along the way. Dougie Kidd has the pace to match Barron but has had a few more DNF’s along the way. Ian Christie debuted a stunning new car last time out, and he’ll be hoping to get a few good results with it before the end of the season.

50 50 TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE FROM THE MAIN RECEPTION FOR JUST £1 PER STRIP, WITH HALF THE TAKINGS GOING TO THE WINNER.

A reminder, motorsport can be dangerous. Please stay clear of the catch fence during racing, be observant throughout the event and keep all children accompanied at all times. The promotors do our utmost to ensure a safe environment for all, however, given the nature of the sport, risks cannot be fully eradicated.

All attendee’s are requested to drive with care whilst arriving and leaving the venue. Pedestrians and horse riders are a regular feature on the access road. Please give them room and respect.
