Saturday 7th November | HRP Lochgelly Raceway | Fireworks & Van Banger Scottish Championship
It’s going to be a banging night of action at Lochgelly Raceway – Full on carnage, superb on track entertainment and a fireworks display to complete the evening’s entertainment! (Fireworks Subject To Weather).
Watch on as the drivers look to put on a show – whether it be mega on track action from the Van Bangers providing big hits, laughs and handshakes, or the CC Rods racing bumper to bumper as they chase their own Scottish Championship glory – we’ve something for everyone, and it is an event not to be missed!
Feel the roar of the engines, hear the crunch of the racing and get closer to the action than you ever imagined! With the cars flying past just metres away, there\\\\\\\'s nothing quite like experiencing the atmosphere of live racing at Lochgelly!
The Van Bangers are certain to create a fantastic atmosphere – there will be plenty of cheers as the drivers get stuck in throughout the night. With a fantastic prize purse on offer and an end of night demolition derby there will be a great mix of crashing and racing! Fraser Hamilton took the win in the Scottish Championship last year – will he be back out to defend it? Ian Tait has been a fantastic addition to the Van Banger scene. Tait will also put on a show and have a superbly presented van and usually goes pretty well too! Zak Murdoch has been successful in the vans in years gone by, but has found winning a bit more challenging of late – often finding himself caught up or in the thick of the action.
The CC Rods battle for their own Scottish Championship as well – Ian Donaldson was successful in 2025 and will be aiming to retain the title on Saturday night. The CC Rod formula has had an up and down year and concludes this Saturday in a high octane dramatic championship event. Kevin Donaldson and Robert Conway have been the front running drivers for much of the season and will be ones to watch out for on Saturday, whilst Liam Conway, Gavin Ritchie and Brooke McMullan have all been there or there abouts too! We’ve seen some recent additions to the formula in the shape of Dylan O’Donnell and Connor st Aubyn with both drivers hitting the ground running and taking a few wins over recent events. The Scottish Championship really is wide open this year, and it could be one of the races of the season!
The 2.0 Hot Rods join us for the final time this year with William Buller looking to show off his Scottish Championship roof that he won last time out. Allan Gibson will be hoping for another good meeting as he looks to end the year on a high having missed out on a few meeting earlier this season. Gary Dean and Olivia Kryzanowska will be on track with both drivers looking to come away with some more silverware. Russell Clacher has shown great improvement since acquiring the ex Mark Dews car, and Robbie Daly also hopes to join us as he continues to learn about the car.
The Junior Productions have had another excellent season with highs and lows throughout as tensions at times have risen between families. The on track action though has always been excellent and the youngsters should be proud of what they have all achieved throughout the course of the season. Their have been a few drivers move on, whilst there has been multiple newcomers enter the formula too and it is refreshing to see the cycle of drivers continue to flourish. We can expect more great racing from the youngsters on Saturday as they race bumper to bumper and door to door looking to end the 2026 season on a high. What drivers will end up on the podium come Saturday night?
The ProStocks complete the line up having had another decent season. The nudge and spin formula has entertained whilst producing good racing without too much destruction. Paul Barron leads the way in the points championship and will be looking to end the year on a high as he uses the 14 number once again. John Mason has been consistent throughout the year and has shown good pace which has kept him in contention throughout the campaign.
The ProStocks are set to have a mechanics charity race at the end of the meeting, with the funds going towards our charities for 2026.
