Banger World Cup Weekend

Meeting Date: Saturday 15th October

Join Our Facebook Event The National Micro Banger World Cup takes centre stage this coming weekend.

Over 70 Micro Bangers are booked to race, with a brilliant amount of cars across the supporting formula as well. Over 30 1300 Stock Cars are set to take to the track as they contest their Lochgelly Masters.

A fantastic £1500 prize fund is on offer across the weekend for the micro bangers, which will see a prize for the best presented car, as well as prizes for the DD winner on the Sunday and overall weekend entertainer!

The Micro Bangers will have a last chance race on the night, with at least 10 cars making it into the World Cup race itself. The action will be non-stop throughout the weekend, with entertainer awards, best presented as well as the normal on track action that the bangers will bring! The weekend will finish off with a DD on the Sunday afternoon.

We would like to thank Scrap-A-Car Scotland for supporting the HRP National Banger scene throughout 2022.

Kyle Hegg won the 1300 Stock Car Lochgelly Masters in 2021, and will be looking to retain the title this year as well. 5 races over the two days will determine the grid for the masters race itself, with the top points scorers starting at the front.

The Junior Productions have been a class act in 2022, with some great racing and high quality driving. A couple of Northern Irish visitors bolster the grid further this weekend, and a 2 out of 3 format will be determined for the heats on the Saturday, and an all in final for the Scottish Open.

The Junior Bangers have a healthy amount of cars booked to race, and should provide some good racing for the youngsters in the formula. A guest formula in Scotland, we do not get to see the formula too often, but from what we read online, there is often some great racing from the kids!

The Ministox join in on the action on the Sunday, and will as always put on a show - A lot is still to race for with the youngsters, and we can expect to see some great battles throughout the day!

Driver Information
- Race Vehicles and Transporters ONLY permitted in the pit area
- No keeping spaces in the pits - park tightly together.
- Additional Mechanics Bands need to be purchased from the main reception
- Pit entry will open at 10am on Saturday and 8.30am Sunday
- Drivers sign in office will open at 12pm Saturday and 10am Sunday
- Drivers using the same car both days will only have to go to scrutineering on the Saturday
- All Micro Bangers must be signed in by 3.15pm - All seeded entries will draw a grid number upon signing in.

Further Micro Bangers Information

A parade will be done for the World Cup Race - Driver and 1 Mechanic only. Mechanic must wear overalls. No pedestrian movement on track until all cars are on track and stationary. Mechanic to leave track as quickly as possible once cars are on grid.

Start Procedures - Line up at start finish line in gridded order. Once rolling behind the pace car, the pace car WILL leave the track on the back straight. That does NOT signal the start of the race. Continue a steady pace in 2x2 format until the GREEN LIGHTS / FLAG as the front row exits turn FOUR. This will be the case for all races for Micro Bangers across the weekend.

The bookings lists for the weekend can be found below - any drivers not yet on the list are urged to contact us as soon as possible to ensure they can feature. Drivers can book in through our website, https://www.hardieracepromotions.co.uk/pages/forms/book-to-race/ (Get In Touch > Book To Race). Junior Banger drivers will be required to let us know at time of booking who they are licenced with.

There will be no duplicate numbers permitted. Any driver booking in will be on a first come first served basis. If someone is already booked with a specific number matching your number, you will be required to use an alternative number.
