The 1300 Stock Cars return to action following an entertaining season opener on the 26th February. Danny Whyte won the final last time out, pipping Kyle Hegg to the post by the narrowest of margins following a last lap shootout. Whyte isn’t expected to be in attendance this Saturday which will see a first final win of the season go to another driver. Fraser Clark was in good form at the season opener, as he claimed two race wins on the night – he’ll be looking to carry on such form into this weekend. Robbie Little showed great pace at the season opener from white grade, and will be looking to build on that and perhaps take away a top three finish this weekend. Martin McCaffery looks set to make his first outing of the season having been a stalwart in the formula for a number of years now. Barry Jarman is another who is expected to make his first outing of the season. Stuart Farrell will be on track and having scored well on the 26th February, will be looking for a similar night on Saturday. There are a further few drivers that are set to make their 1300 debut’s on Saturday, including 50 Harry Adams, 327 David Izatt, 63 Ryan Love and 776 Chrissi Mack. Love made his stock car debut at our season opener in Van Bangers, though has seemingly got a taste for the action and is back out this weekend in a 1300 Stock Car! With a few more drivers expected to book in, there could be 25+ cars on track come Saturday night, with action guaranteed!!

Alike the 1300 Stock Cars, the Ministox return to action following an entertaining affair at the season opener. Robbie Armit and Jake Wilson were the in-form drivers then, as both of them took away race wins, with Wilson also crossing the line in 1st place in the meeting final, before being docked a few places. Reigning National Points Champion, Charlie Hardie had a difficult time of it on the 26th February, only finishing in the top 10 in the opening race of the night. Madisson Gilmour continued her good form at Lochgelly Raceway, as she drove admirably throughout the night, and was rewarded with the final win for her efforts. Hamish Plenderleith will make his second appearance in the Ministox and will look to continue the progress that was made last time out, though will have hopefully cured the issues with the car that plagued him then. Ethan Gemmell and Jamie Dawson both make the trip southbound from their Northern base. Both Gemmell and Dawson have been regular’s at Lochgelly, and will be looking to challenge for the podium places this weekend. Rian Mitchell and Sam Cavanagh will be looking to get stuck in, whilst Kyle Rogerson and Demi Ritchie will be looking to get some laps under their belts away from the action! Another grid of 20+ cars are expected from the Ministox, with all drivers gunning for victory – it could be entertaining!

The Scrap A Car Scotland sponsored 2.0 Bangers are with us this weekend, as they make rare appearance following the request of several drivers. The bangers are a difficult formula to predict, as a lot of drivers will be looking to put on a show, whilst others will be looking to go for a win! A trio of Linton’s are expected to be with us, as Dayle, Douglas and Darren are all set to put on a show. Northern based Phillip Blowers makes the trip southbound to be with us as he support the 2.0 class.

The ProStocks make their 2022 season debut’s. National Points Champion Darren Rae will lead the field, though with World Cup winner Ian Christie in action as well, there won’t be no plain sailing in the 1600 class. John Mason is a welcome attendee, and boasts a wealth of experience – possibly as much as the rest of the field combined!! Gary Doyle and Cameron Archibald will make their ProStock debut’s, whilst Grumm Fleming has shown some previews of his new car – and is expected to make an appearance as well.

The Stock Rods are the final formula in action this weekend, and are the first formula to be in attendance 2 weeks in a row. World Champion Siobhan Martin leads the line up, though will be hoping for better fortunes than last weekend, where she struggled throughout the evening. Scottish Champion Darren McAlpine will be looking to continue the pace that he displayed last weekend, as he picked up several strong results. Gary Dean – perhaps one of the favourites for success in 2022, started his season off in the best possible manner as he swept to a win in the meeting final last weekend. Niall McFerran and Jamie Stewart likewise both started their campaigns off in good form, as each of them picked up a race win too! Chris Lattka will make his season debut and will be looking to hit the ground running. The most successful driver on the track has nothing to prove, but will be looking to take away trophies on Saturday night. Mark Curran looks set to make his debut – the Shetland based driver looks set to be a regular attendee at Lochgelly in 2022!

Spectator gates will open at 3.30pm, with the first race starting at 5.30pm.
