It’s hard to believe that we are just 2 meetings away from concluding the first half of the season here at Lochgelly Raceway.
The first of these 2 meetings takes places this Saturday night, with Ninja Karts, Ministox, 2.0 Hot Rods, Stock Rods and Micro Bangers taking to the track.
The 2.0 Hot Rods are in action in what will be the last points meeting of the 2021-22 campaign, with the World Final taking place at the end of July. World Champion James Morris leads the line up as he looks to continue his impressive run of form on what is now ‘home turf’ for the English based driver. Current National Points Champion Cameron Willacy will be with us, whilst Scottish Champion Jason Secker will be looking to end the campaign on a high note. Superstox driver Ciaran Adams is also expected to be in attendance has he has a shot in a 2.0 Hot Rod.
The Ninja Karts have provided some great racing of late, with the crop of newcomers at the start of the season now getting up to speed and moving up through the grades. Jack Jones will again be with us as will Arthur Ware from their English bases. British Champion Kenzie Bell will be looking to end the run of bad luck that has seen him score a few DNF’s of late. Stuart Shevill and Dougie Kidd have both been in great form lately as they look to fight it out for the points championship. Jayden Lee Jeffrey has been growing in confidence over the last few meetings – taking a couple of great results along the way.
The Ministox have had a busy schedule, though have consistently provided good racing here at Lochgelly Raceway. Jake Wilson and Robbie Armit have both been consistently quick and have scored well from the rear of the grid. Charlie Hardie will be looking to change his fortunes, having been caught up in a number of incidents over the last few meetings. Shaun Boyle will make the step up into Ministox this weekend, whilst Koddi Wright is set to make his first appearance of the season. Hamish Plenderleith and Cole Ford will both be with us, with the 2 both making great headway in the formula.
The Micro Bangers will contest in a Ramp Race to start the night off for the formula, this being heat 1. A heat and final, and DD subject to driver interest will take place as well.
The Stock Rods are with us again, on the back of a busy weekend last week, and in the run up to a busy summer period for the formula. Chris Lattka, Gary Dean and Darren Mcalpine will lead the charge from the rear of the grid though with a number of quick looking lower grades, they may find the going tough.
First race, 5.30pm! Join us then!
