An Exciting Night In Prospect An Exciting Night In Prospect An Exciting Night In Prospect
After a couple of weeks away, we are back in action at Lochgelly Raceway this Saturday (16th July).

For the first time in Scotland, the Back 2 Basics Van Bangers will take to the track in an event that should bring some great entertainment. The novelty nature of the formula ensures that it is something different from the norm, and Van Bangers often provide some good moment’s throughout the evening. With over 10 vans expected to be on track, there will be no shortage of action, though, the first couple of races will be Nudge and Spin only, as the drivers aim to keep the vans for the final and Demolition Derby at the end of the night. Lee Clarke, William Stawiarski and CC Rod Points Champion Kevin Hutchison will all be out in action, whilst a few northern based drivers should be with us including 1300 driver Cameron Innes.

The Superstox are in action for the final time at Lochgelly ahead of the European Championship, to be held here in a couple of weeks time. A decent field of cars are expected to be with us, including the returning Jordan Black, whilst David Lumsden also hopes to make his debut in the class! Dean Johnston and Aaron Riddell look set to continue their battle in the quest for the National Points Championship, with less than a dozen points currently separating the drivers – that battle could be one to watch as we enter the last couple of meetings in the points scoring campaign. Bryan Forrest will be in action and will be hoping to pick up the pieces as he continues to get the most out of his new car.

The 2.0 Hot Rods are with us as the drivers look to finalise any tweaks to their cars ahead of the World Championship, here at Lochgelly on the last weekend of the month. Cameron Willacy will show off the Silver for the final time, before handing it over to Jason Secker, who has won the 2021-22 National Points Championship. John Campbell makes a return to action having sat on the sidelines for a few meetings. Keith Brown will look to continue his good form, whilst Marc Honeyman and World Champion James Morris will both be looking to score some race wins.

The Junior Productions are with us for the first time in what feels like ages!! The youngster’s have provided some great racing so far in 2022, and this week we expect to be the same, with just under 20 cars booked to race. Kaden Connor will make his second outing in the formula, having made his debut last time out. Last time out, there were some impressive showings from the lower graded drivers – Lewis Duffy, Brooke McMullan and Aiden McKinnon all showing some great pace. Abe Adams will be looking to continue his impressive form since coming into the class. Further back, Koddi Wright, Jack MacLeod, Jase Walle and James Slater will be looking to negate their way through the field in the quest for points finishes.

The Ninja Karts are the final formula in attendance and the youngsters will again have hearts in mouths as they zip around the raceway showcasing some incredible talent. An epic battle for the points is brewing, with several drivers in the mix – Jack Jones, Dougie Kidd, Stuart Shevill and Kenzie Bell to name a few. It won’t be plain sailing though, as some of the early year novices have recently upped there game, none moreso than Jayden Lee Jeffrey who has taken a series of race wins in recent meetings. Blair Innes, Layton Cairns and Sophia Allan have all shown great pace as well. Abigail Chalmers is set to make her debut, whilst Jenson Fish again visit’s us from his southern base.

All the action gets underway at 5.15pm – be sure to join us then.
