Saturday 19th April Results
Saturday 19th April seen an some superb racing throughout the event, with all formula displaying close, fast and extremely competitive racing.

The Ministox started the evening off with round 1 of their 2025 JusBounce series for the whites and yellow graded drivers. Jayden Roff took victory from Mason Howe, despite intense pressure for the majority of the race where Howe tried numerous times to push Roff out of the way, but Roff held on excellently to take the win. Heat 1 seen the blue and red graded drivers added into the mix, and it would be a fast paced race. Bailey Wilson has started the season excellently and has already taken a few race wins. The ‘novice’ driver took victory in the opening heat, finishing ahead of Stuart Shevill Jnr and Jayden Roff. Heat 2 was once more a race where the established drivers found the going difficult, as they struggled to close the gap on some very quick drivers ahead of them. Bailey Wilson once more took the win with Shevill second, whilst Jack Jones finished in third place – Shevill and Jones having a very entertaining race in the closing stages with the drivers swapping positions a couple of times. The meeting final would see Bailey Wilson go on to complete his hat-trick, with Shevill and Jones once more completing the top 3. National Points Champion David Philp set the quickest lap of the night, but couldn’t finish any higher than fourth. Leo Rabone made the long trip north to be with us, whilst Charlie Weston also made the trip north once more as he finally got some laps under his belt at Lochgelly Raceway. Weston faired well throughout the night, and was unfortunate not to come away with a few more points after battling in the podium places for long periods throughout the night.

The National Hot Rods competed for the final time ahead of the DPC European Championship on the 10th and 11th May. Despite numbers being low, the formula displayed some fantastic racing, with drivers having to fight hard to make overtakes. James Robertson held on excellently for long periods in the opening heat, with all cars racing in close proximity for much of the race, before Ross McWilliam made the bold move around the outside, and despite being stuck there for several laps, he finally made the move stick, whilst Gordon Alexander managed to make a move up the inside of James late in the race too to take 2nd place. Heat 2 was another good race from the Nationals, with the drivers once more racing hard for the positions. McWilliam would take his second win ahead of Gordon Alexander and Derek Connor. The meeting final would see McWilliam go on to complete his second hat trick of the season, with James Robertson and Derek Connor completing the top 3 – Whilst McWilliam won the meeting final comfortably, the race for second was fascinating, with Connor, Alexander, Robertson and Donaldson all battling together for much of the race, with various drivers trying the outside line at times to no avail.

The CC Rod formula produced some wheely good racing again – with Craig Mason taking a heat and final double. Lee Scott was the quickest car on track, but his night was cut short after losing a wheel in heat 2, which seen him fail to feature in the remainder of the meeting. Alun Gregory was in good form – battling for top 3 positions in both of the heats, and managing to secure victory in heat 2 – holding off Craig Mason and Ian Donaldson. The final would see Mason claim victory ahead of Ian Donaldson and Robert Conway, with Robert Conway continuing his impressive start to the season.

The Superstox formula welcomed Gary Chisolm north of the border, alongside some trophy sponsorship courtesy of Annette Turner Book Keeping. Craig Stephen made his debut in the class too, and whilst struggled at times with his setup, he also showed some good pace and will no doubt improve in the coming meetings. Josh Duff continued his run of failing to finish all three races this season – this time, failing to finish the only race he appeared in after suffering some damage after taking on the wall courtesy of a hit from Bryan Forrest. Adam Low would have been relieved to come away without too much damage after what looked like a blow up in heat 2. Adam and his team got the car ready for the meeting final and were back out on track. Aaron Riddell took a hat-trick of race wins, with Gary Chisolm taking a hat-trick of runners up spots for his efforts!

The ProStocks were the final formula in attendance, and seen around 20 cars take to the track once more. The nudge and spin formula as ever, produced some great racing, and seen three different race winners on the night. Kai McNulty took his first win of the season in the formula in the opening heat, whilst Ian Christie took victory in heat 2. The meeting final would go the way of Lewis Gilchrist. It was a night to forget for some of the top drivers – Dougie Kidd was plagued by a mis fire throughout the night, whilst Paul Barron appeared to blow a gearbox in heat 2 putting an end to his night of racing. Dean McGill had an issue before the start of heat 2, which also seen his night of racing curtailed.
