It was the U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars Scottish Championship on Saturday at Lochgelly Raceway with 30+ ironed up hatchbacks battling it out for the opportunity to become the 2024 Scottish Champion.

The Ninja Karts started off the evening with their Whites and Yellows race. There was a moment when 13 Alix Martin ground to a halt on the back straight and was collected by the oncoming Alfie MacLeod, with MacLeod pirouetting in the air following the coming together. Layton Cairns would take the victory ahead of Sophia Allan and Ryan Love. Heat 1 seen the blue and red graded drivers come into the fold with some very close and dramatic racing throughout as a few karts came together. Rory Wilson crossed the line first though the race win would be awarded to Christopher Lattka with Wilson dropping to third. Henry Hunn would split the pair and claim the first of his 3 runners up spots on the night. Rory Wilson took victory in heat 2, before Blair Innes drove a superb race in the final to claim victory ahead of Henry Hunn and Jayden Jeffrey.

The U-Pull-It 1300 Stock Cars Scottish Championship seen a pre-race grid draw determine the grid for the main race – Sam Cavanagh would start on pole position. The World Champion Darren Rae was just behind with the Inter-Nations Champion Danny Whyte also up front. Cavanagh got away well and survived the big push on the opening lap as Darren Rae tucked in into 2nd place. Rae soon moved ahead of Cavanagh, but Cavanagh stuck with him with little between the pair throughout. Jamie Stewart was making headway through the pack and was soon up into third place chasing down the top 2 drivers, with the race becoming a three way battle for the lead. Stewart pushed his way passed both and into the lead of the race and would go on to become the Scottish Champion. Cavanagh took 2nd with Rae finishing 3rd. Sam Cavanagh and Chris Gold would take the wins in the following races.

The National Hot Rods seen James Robertson take the wins in the heats, before Alexander claimed victory in the meeting final. There was a return to the formula for Keith Chesher, whilst John Mcallister made an outing in the Derek Connor car, with Connor debuting his new car.

The ProStocks seen Dean McGill take the wins in the heats, before Lewis Gilchrist claimed the win in the meeting final ahead of Paul Barron and Ian Christie. The CC Rods had a good turnout of cars with generally good racing throughout the night. Ian Donaldson was on fire though, racing to a hat-trick of victories.
